Called in late last night as a last minute decision to stop for food. We were more than impressed. Food was great and even more so the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It was refreshing to see just how good table service should be!...Highly recommendedMore

Such a fabulous experience! Booked this pub after our original booking was cancelled. So glad that happened! Right from the start, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We needed the table earlier than planned and they were so relaxed about it all and let...us arrive at anytime we wished. The food is amazing and the place is beautiful. It’s a truly wonderful pub with a great garden, suitable for kids! Definitely worth a visit. We shall be returning as it’s worth every penny.More

My husband and I did a walk along the Arun and Wey canal from Loxwood and visited the pub for lunch as it was half way. Lovely sunny day so sat in the garden which has lovely views.over the countryside. Food was really good, we...shared a beautiful cauliflower starter (cant remember the name of it) followed by mains of slowed cooked lamb shoulder, which my husband ordered and I had sticky pork belly served with a lovely Asian salad and a bucket of lovely hot chips. The waitress was lovely and the owner came and asked all diners if everything was satisfactory, everyone said it was lovely. Great place to eat, will definitely be popping back again soon.More

We received a warm and friendly welcome from attentive, cheerful staff. There’s a lovely terrace for eating to the rear of the pub and, beyond that, a large traditional beer garden overlooking beautiful countryside. The food was tasty - and delivered in hearty portions. It’s...become increasingly difficult to find anywhere to eat or drink from Sunday afternoon until Wednesday lunchtime these days, with so many pubs closed Sunday night, plus all day Mondays and Tuesdays, in this area. So many villages appear ‘closed’ in the first half of the week that it must eventually have an affect on the rural tourist economy. Here is an excellent pub that is open every day. We shall support it whenever we’re in the area.More

We arrived on a Friday night at 6pm to an empty restaurant in this 'Gastropub" which is not always a good sign. It filled up later. The food was very good. Prices are going due to the effects of the . It was worth it..... I would have liked to try the beef but will leave that for a special occasion. I had the prawn linguine which was cordon bleu quality. My partner had a great burger and perfect fries, and our friends ordered a chicken dish and also an asparagus and vegetable starter from a vegan menu scattered with pretty flower petals, followed by a bean cassoulet and cous cous. I had the lemon cheesecake which was nice (and portions are large at this pub restaurant). I would have preferred a baked cheesecake. The chef is obviously capable . The home made shortbread was excellent. The ice creams were OK. (I would change supplier and do a taste and texture test with customers) . But all in all a fabulous supper. The paper menus we were given were covered in food splashes. It would have been useful to have had disinfectant spray near the table. One of the helpers taking orders was a shy young girl who may not have done much of this before and she was incredibly sweet , if a little shy. The other helper was also so sweet and very efficient and helpful. The chef and kitchen staff obviously enjoy cooking great food. They also had everything we wanted to drink - including Old Mout lime and kiwi , elderflower fizz( for the non drinking car driver) and good beers. Keep it up.More

We we lucky enough to have our wedding at the Tich after having to postpone from 2020. We could not have asked for more. The setting is beautiful and the food and service was brilliant. George, Danielle and the rest of the team helped make...our day flow without a fuss and we couldn’t be more grateful. We can’t recommend this pub highly enough and look forward to stopping in for a pint soon! Jack & Lauren xMore

I selected this pub/restaurant based on TA, we wernt disappointed. Very good service, fresh quality ingredients and a lovely countryside location. I cannot comment on the bill as one of my party whisked away the bill and said it was on her to celebrate retirement...I would thoroughly recommend this place, well worth the hours drive from NE Surrey!More

Unfortunately there are not disabled toilets yet the toilets are just about big enough to be able to access with a wheelchair but they probably would require assistance.

No unfortunately they do not. But have a good selection of starters that would do the job of a sandwich.
