Service is fine and the food is fine. There is a whole lot of just fine going on. The cinnamon roll at breakfast is excellent, especially when warm.

We were here the day before the 4th of July. What a discovery. As a European you only see these kind of restaurants in films. Typical American, as well as the place itself as the service. Very old school but also very good. We had...More

We came to El Tovar for a late lunch after exploring the park and loved it! We had fantastic service and a really delicious meal. We were not close to the windows, but still could see and enjoy the view. The whole ambiance of the...More

Made reservations as early as we could and were pleased to be seated in a window table on the rim. But the service was really disappointing and our incredibly surly waiter put a damper on this special meal. He wasn't just rude, he was positively...More

We rolled in on the train and decided to have lunch here. The wait was only 15 minutes which gave us time to browse around the shops within the lodge. The atmosphere, cozy. The staff, excellent and on top of things. The food however, needs...More

We had breakfast in this restaurant and were quite impressed by the number of people who were queuing although it was very early in the morning. Our first impression was confirmed: the quality of the food is excellent and the service very good. One of...More

There's a view of the rim from the restaurant. It is a nice view but limited to the tables near the window. Thus, if you sit elsewhere in this large establishment you will not have a view of the Canyon.

Not really. We went in for breakfast wearing jeans, t-shirts and hiking boots.
