I've always like the peg legs. Food is great, service is great, atmosphere is great. What is really exceptional is the way they respect and treat patrons with food allergies. My GF is GF (that's gluten free). It's a serious allergy that many places don't treat seriously. They actually had the manager come out after we ordered to make sure... More

I grew up along the Texas coast and have had fresh seafood my whole life. My first visit here to Pensacola Beach and the shrimp and oysters rival any I have ever had. We had to wait quite some time before being seated but on a Saturday night it was not unexpected. The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff was... More

So, everyone knows this is a hot spot to eat. During the peak months, you could find yourself waiting 2 hours for a seat. My favorite is at the end of the top bar where you will find a crew shucking oysters when in season. Right now they are getting them from Area 10 which has a little different taste...mildly... More

Great place and great food. We had the grilled grouper, very good. There was a line but we sat at the bar, staff was friendly so we ate at the bar. For good fresh local food, go to Peg Leg Pete's!

This is my absolute favorite place to eat when in Pensacola. They have a full menu upstairs and limited menu downstairs (mainly fried foods and oysters). I love the blackened grouper - which is delicious - but I also like trying their specials. Oysters are always fresh and tasty!! This is a very popular place!! Be prepared to wait...grab a... More

The Oysters on the half shell are absolutely great. The menu offers every seafood item you can imagine. The place is rustic and a bit loud so it's not the place to visit for quiet conversation. Not that that's bad but feel warned! Lots of families and large parties here with live music on the night we visited. The wait... More

My family and I had dinner at Peg Leg Petes based upon another traveler's recommendation. We went mid week and had about an hours wait. The fish was good, the ambiance was not. The place was very dusty and dirty. They need to close for a day and deep clean.

An authentic and true beach atmosphere...and I love Pirates! Fantastic seafood, great service. If you're going to eat there, though, get there early - first come, first served and there's almost always a line!

went here for a Tuesday night dinner, the place was packed, but the wait was around 10 minutes for the four of us. Service was fantastic, very friendly and prompt with no pressure. We had gumbo, stuffed grouper, shrimp, chili, and a burger. Gumbo was the best we've had in the area. Everything else was very good, especially the Etouffe.... More
