Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Had lunch, having walked past several times. An interesting building. We had baguettes which were enormous and delicious. Menu very reasonably priced - haddock and chips £12.50, which would be £19 in some local pubs. Well worth a visit

Myself and my wife met our Brother and Sister in Law here for lunch. My wife has been a few times and said the food was good, she normally goes for the Thai Green Curry. Other people have reported that it was also good. Unfortunately...I did not rate it, there was a young girl behind the bar that had the personality of a dead fish, she served the drinks in complete silence then got the card machine and thrust it in front of me without even telling how much the amount she had put in that I was to pay was so I had no idea what I was being charged. I had the cheese and bacon burger which costs £14, I can only describe it as 'nothing special' it was dry and very ordinary. Will I go back? maybe as I always believe in a second chance.More

Hi there Colina245! We're very sorry about your poor experience at our Pub. The Bar person in question has been spoken to, and that issue has been rectified. As for your burger, the actual price is £12.00. Even this price doesn't excuse the fact that...More

There's nothing at all to dislike about this place. Friendly and prompt table service although bar service somewhat inattentive and slow. The place was not at all busy in the weekday lunchtime that I visited. Good sized portions of food at middling pub prices. No...issues. No lunchtime band (mercifully) - just low level music from the sound system that played mostly oldish rock/pop. Very much to my taste. In all, recommended and you won't be underfed.More

First try of this pub...went there with my wife for lunch whilst visiting Hythe. Best Steak and Mushroom pie we've ever had anywhere . Prompt and friendly service. We will certainly revisit when we are in the area.

This is our local pub. The food is good and the staff are really friendly. It is so nice to be welcomed by name and there is a lot of friendly banter. My son only has to walk in and his pint is on the...bar before he gets to it!! Thoroughly recommend !More

This is our local Pub, recently taken over by Ryan, and he has managed to carry over the ambience and feel of a traditional Pub. The food is great, beer and wine good, and no piped music and no gambling machines! 👍. If you're in...Hythe pop in, and have a great experience .More

Our first visit since lockdown. Still as good as ever. Excellent food, friendly staff and a homely atmosphere. Ebenezers is in Hythe Village Centre so bus stops, the ferry terminal and Jones Lane car park are all nearby. Very highly recommended.

In an old chapel this is a real local pub. When we first turned up it wasn't open but the landlord, who was sitting outside, unloced the place and along with his customers made us feel very welcome - so we kept going back throught...our holiday! Great beer as well.More
