Wow! What a special evening. First, Joe took us on an informative and entertaining wine tour. He is so knowledgeable about wine making and we learned so much. He even let us turned the spigot on a huge wine tank and pour our own gasses...of maturing wine. So cool! Then we sat down at the family dinner table, where we were treated to an unforgettable meal prepared by Liz. She is a beautiful person and a marvelous cook. Of course, we were fortunate to be included in a family celebration that night and hit the jackpot. But we can definitely state that Joe and Liz are perfect hosts and will go out of their way to welcome you and share their magnificent winery with you. We were invited to join a friend (whom we'd not seen in many years and was briefly in the area) for an evening at O'Vineyards. Since we live just half an hour away, it was an ideal setting for us to catch up with him,...have a wonderful tour of the property with Joe and spend a fine time at Liz's table with some delicious and well prepared food to help us enjoy even more the wonderful wines we sampled. We thank you for your hospitality and warm and friendly care while we were with you. And, we laughed, a LOT!More

This was by far one of the best nights out we’ve had. Went to the vineyard for a typical French night out with good food, turned out to be an amazing experience of generous wine tasting combined with delicious food that was made with love....Above all Liz & Joe are the kindest people that make you want to stay there way longer! Definitely coming back again!More

14 of us made our way to the Carcassonne area from the US the first week of July. We stayed at La Maison in Vilegailhenc and on the first night of our stay we decided to do a wine tour, tasting and dinner at O'Vineyards....VERDICT: THIS WAS THE BEST MEAL WE HAD OUT OUR ENTIRE STAY. When we arrived at the vineyard we were met by Joe who gave us a tour of the property which was lovely and also learn about their wines, and taste from the barrel. Afterwards we were brought back in to the main area for dinner. (Note: we were there during the first of the two heatwaves this summer so we ate inside instead of melting outside) I can't even put into words how wonderful this meal was! Liz, owner and chef of the house, made the food with love and you could taste it in every bite! I still dream about her chicken! I highly suggest this experience if you are in the Carcassonne area as I have to say it's the best restaurant in the area! And, if you were wondering about the wine I believe we left with a case or two to enjoy at the house :)More

I have visited many wineries, which included tours and tastings. This was by far the best tasting and tour I have ever had. We had a very informative tour and a more than generous tasting. After our tour, we had a delicious dinner. The courses...seemed never ending, the food was superb. Everything was fresh and homemade. Prepared and served by the host and hostess. Definitely a five star evening. I can’t wait to visit again and next time I will add on an overnight stay in the B &B. This was an experience I would definitely recommend.More

Our brief stay was filled with gorgeous views, delicious food, comfortable, modern accommodations, and fabulous wine!! Our family had an amazing time and the only negative was leaving the Vineyard! Cheers 🥂

Dinner at O'Vineyards was such an unexpectedly wonderful experience, it's kind of hard to write about it as a "restaurant." It was much more like dinner with new friends. It is inspiring to see people living the dream, and such a good dream: The O'Connells...make a wide variety of wines, work the land on an outstanding property (I hope one day to have a kitchen garden like the one they have), and invite guests to join them. The night we were there it was a small affair: just the four of us, drinking wine, eating well, swapping stories, in our case mostly about dogs. When traveling in a foreign country, it's sometimes hard to feel connected to things around you and experience them more than merely as an observer. Dinner at O'Vineyards was a real opportunity to talk and learn and laugh with really great hosts for a wonderful evening.More

This excursion is the best thing we have done during our week on Canal Du Midi! Joe and Liz are so warm and welcoming- we felt like house guests when we arrived and friends when we left. In addition to the the wine being fantastic,...the food prepared by Liz was as good as you would find at a Michelin Star restaurant! And it was abundant:) We all found the tour informative and entertaining. Again, we felt like we were listening to details and stories from a good friend. This is a place you don’t want to miss!More

Don't expect your standard restaurant. When we first pulled up, we thought it wasn't open, but they met us at our car...did a nice tour of fhe wine operation--led personally by the owners. Then sat down with them for a very nice meal in an...intimate, friendly environment. Plus we tasted and bought a number of their wines. Loved the family, the food and the drink! We also met a few other guests of the b&B who were also fascinating.More
