Directed there by a local, had full English breakfast, staff well prepared to deal with lactose intolerance. Note that British bacon is not what Americans expect.

We visited here a few times son our recent camping trip to Ullswater. A lovely little tearoom in a beautiful location. A few visits we just had latte, hot chocolates and cake which were all yummy, my son loved the "big one" hot chocolate. The cakes are all homemade and all the ones we tried were excellent, I particularly liked... More

Popped in for breakfast two sausage sarnies, a tea and a coffee - Excellent and one sarnie would probably have been enough for the two of us!! Great service, friendly and efficient - Loved it!

Great food and service. Friendly staff. Loved the dogs bag also for my furry friend. My only negative would be that it's the first place where they didn't pay attention how and when to serve particular foods. I've received my soup and main course and desert all in one go. By the time I took them in order, most of... More

Hello and thank you for your review and valuable feedback. I am sorry we didn't serve your courses at the correct times, I can understand your frustration. We are not really the kind of formal restaurant to offer starters, mains and desserts - and actually we often have orders from a table where one person has breakfast, another has a... More

If you park in Pooley Bridge I would recommend you visit Granny Dowbekin's. We had coffee and cake which was delicious. It is a very cheerful place whatever the weather (it was fine weather when we visited), and very welcoming after several miles walking around the Lakes.

Popped in here with my Son for a cheeky breakfast while girls were pony trekking. Fantastic breakfasts. My son had a sausage sandwich and I had the mini breakfast which were both delicious. Good value to. Highly recommended.
