For many many years I've passed this place by, thinking that it didn't look wheelchair friendly for my dad or me being in a rush to get to a particular destination. Well travelling on my own today I decided to finally pop in to see what it was like! I can only echo the sentiments of other reviewers here, very... More

"Wow".....what a review...thanks John you've made our day! I am just sorry that I didn't say goodbye to you. As you had paid up front (and as I was serving another table at the time) I only noticed you had left as you were going down the steps. So thanks for calling in and we look forward to seeing you... Stopped here on our travels, had a great pot of tea and the best fruit scones with jam and cream! So light, they melted in your mouth! Definitely worth a stop if passing!

My husband and I were driving from Oban to Invermoriston and came across The Thistle Shop. Lovely little cafe with a nice selection on their menu plus they have a little gift shop as well. We each had a pot of tea and shortbread. I've always said my grandma made the best shortbread and this reminded me so much of... More

Coffee and cakes were excellent, so was the price. Least expensive and best quality we have had in Scotland, and this is our fifth trip up here. The owners were very friendly and were pro bikers. We were so impressed we stopped again in the afternoon on our way back. Will recommend to our bikers colleagues. The oldies on a... More

We stopped here for a break on our trip from Oban to Loch Ness for a cup of tea and some shortbread. Very nice and friendly, they also have a little shop for some Scottish items. Also lots of parking. Very nice, and do stop if you're passing.

Heading north the time for a break and a cuppa approached. Saw the roadside sign for The Thistle Stop, then a little later the sign telling you to start indicating right turn. Glad we made the turn into the good size parking area. The cafe with a small gift shop attached is well laid out. Capacious outside covered eating area... More
