We were a group of 7. The restaurant is set up for less than 20 with a big screen. The chef did everything himself, including the wait service. The food was delicious and the presentation was superb, world class. The chef was so personable and talented, his photos and verse grace the walls. His end of meal thank you would... More

We were collected by taxi and was 6 persons going out for an evening meal, the food was brilliant but the smell in the restaurant was unbearable smelling of sewers, not so good, we nearly left but as the owner had worked at the London Hilton we stayed. Unfortunately we shall never go back!

As this is likely the only negative review, I suspect that it will be discounted, but the following are my thoughts about our experience. Derek is a charming gentleman and he is to be applauded for attempting to create ''an authentic Tobagan experience''. The night we were there, two of his staff did not show up for work, so two... Our last day in Tobago we were visiting Pigeon Point, when we were approached by Derrick who was drumming up trade for his new restaurant. What was remarkable about this young man, he was in the middle of his break at lecturing at the Culinary Institute in Tobago and still had the drive and energy to promote his new restaurant.... We went there because of the good recessions and we were not disappointed at all. The stuff was very friendly and the food was awesome! !!It was presented like in a michelin star restaurant and tatsted just great. We had shrimps in mango cream and traditional vegetables. There are just tow reasons wy I can give just 4 from 5... More

This year we brought family for dinner. Derrick has changed the restaurant. The food remains consistently well presented, and is tasty. We felt he service was fine, also. All courses were enjoyed. We brought our own beverages, alcoholic. Be sure to reserve since hours vary depending on the Chef's teaching schedule. And wait for the spontaneous song as you depart.... More

I would give the food a rating of average but the whole experience raises it to very good. The owner/chef/waiter/entertainer Derrick does it all. When I asked him about it, he said that usually there are 3-4 waitresses there but that night he was all alone. Evidently, it was a joke. After we ate, he entertained my husband and me... More

I had the lobster which I highly recommend. And the strawberry cheesecake. Great taste, spices, presentation. Very friendly and there was even a vocal surprise at the end. You have got to go there and eat the lobster and cheesecake (though the crab was great too).

Unfortunately he is the man who drums up business on the beach, does the splendid cooking and occasionally performs a highly entertaining rap. Food is good - dare I say approaching fine dining without the presentation and setting, but the wait can be long. Front of house needs some expert attention - preferably not by Derrick himself, but by someone... More

We were approached on Pigeon Point by Derrick about his amazing restaurant. We were sceptical and so looked up the restaurant on Trip Advisor. The reviews were amazing... But the ambiance, entertainment & the food left us in awe. It was a picture-plastered, plastic-plant filled patio. The entertainment (decor & music) was tacky. Now for the food... I'm not sure...
