Wow, what a great place to visit. Step back in time to the 1940s. Great memorabilia on display. Great atmosphere and customer service. The owner Darren was very knowledgeable and passionate about the era. Food and drinks were amazing. Home made cakes were delicious. I...enjoyed my Glenn Miller hot chocolate 😋. They served locally made beers and ciders too. Lovely gift shop too that also sells sweets from "back in the day" as my son said. Will definitely return soon.More

I visited (with a friend) Poppylands Tea Room, last Thursday afternoon (September 23rd), last Thursday, was my second visit to Poppylands, I first visited (with the same friend) Poppylands, in March 2019, I enjoyed a Glass of Norfolk Cider and a piece of Victoria Sponge...Cake, my friend enjoyed a cup of Tea and a slice of Carrot Cake, being very interested in history, I liked seeing all the World War ll (a period of history, which I have always been interested in) Merchandise, that was on display, I also enjoyed seeing the Dad's Army Merchandise (including Jigsaw Puzzles, Annuals, Stage Show LP, and Photographs), that was on display, Dad's Army, is one of my all time favourite TV programmes, the first time me and my friend, visited Poppylands, we had a good chat with the owner (Darren Stride), last Thursday, Poppylands, was very busy (due to popularity), but me and my friend, managed to have a short chat, with Darren (who was very friendly and interesting), I liked the Shop, which was behind Poppylands, I bought some very nice items, in the Shop (new since my first visit to Poppylands), highly recommended for fans of Dad's Army, and also for anyone interested in World War ll.More

This restaurant is 1940 themed with lots of memorabilia everywhere. The staff worked hard and the food good. It is obviously popular as it was very crowded both inside and outside. Worth booking ahead if possible. When in the area drop by even if it's...just for tea and cake to experience the ambiance.More

We visited for lunch on a fine day and sat outside among the tables, most with dogs on leads. Viewing inside including upstairs is recommended.
