How is The Bush Inn rated?

We went the The Bush today for a wake. Rhys had been extremely helpful and flexible with our requirements and he gave us confidence that we could leave things in his very capable hands. The price was very reasonable too. The buffet was excellent with...lots of choice, including Rhys’s very tasty home made scotch eggs. The buffet table was kept well stocked and there was more than enough food. We were also provided with containers to take home the surplus food. I would highly recommend this pub in general as a lovely, friendly and well run pub with a friendly landlord and staff.More

Utterly stunning food ❤️

Visited again for steak night and was stunning, best food ever, lamb and steak were amazing and love this traditional pub. Can’t wait to return ❤️

Little gem in the Welsh mountains.

My partner and I won some vouchers to dine at the Bush Inn, Upper Cwmbran through a raffle. The Bush has always been a favourite of mine, it reminds me of an old haunt that I once went to in my misspent youth which brings...back many happy memories.The Bush has a lovely atmosphere, it’s well run and on Wednesday nights they have curry night which was excellent. I would have no problem recommending this establish to family and friends and we will certainly be returning.More

Wow factor steak night

Another exceptional steak night meal, Rhys cooks amazing food, and his steaks are beautifully cooked. Friendly pub with great staff, simply the best food around this area.

Excellent place with outside seating

Great little pub, nice staff and locals, couldn't get food as didn't book and was busy so definately need to book a table for dining. Will definitely be back, very reasonable drink prices.

Friendly family Pub, with great food nights...

Brilliant local pub, very friendly atmosphere. Theme food evenings, Pizza nights, Curry nights and steak night... Top class steak at reasonable prices.. Dogs welcome, plenty of outside space too! .

Highly recommend

Went for a family Steak night and it was absolutely stunning, the service was great, the food was 100% I requested a cremated steak and that's what I got....stunning too, the garlic sauce was the best ever. Definitely going back for more.

Best steaks ever

Excellent from start to finish. Went with family last night, and all were catered for, prices so reasonable even the youngsters ( age 6 and 7) had steak, a range of steaks were ordered, and all were cooked exactly as requested, and all were absolutely...delicious, as good, in fact better than I have had in high end steak houses. Fantastic chef and bar staff, highly recommended and looking forward to returning soon.More

Great pub

Best sweet potato fries I have ever had!

We ordered the curry night takeaway. The curry was decent, but the sweet potato fries were simply amazing!

Thursday night is Steak night.

The Bush is a small pub run by a dedicated landlord and his team. On Thursday evening, Chef Rhys cooks a selection of stunning steaks. We highly recommend eating at the Bush but suggest that you book at least two weeks in advance. You won't...regret it.More

Best pizzas ever...

I hate Pizza...... I have to say pizza is really not my favourite meal at all. I've eat pizza in the mozzarella capital of Italy which tasted like boot leather. The Bush Inn I have to say serve an amazing variety of pizzas, cooked by...a qualified chef as opposed to a bing man....this evening we had two amazing take away pizzas which were simply amazing. I can highly recommend the Bush and its chef Rhys....More

Fantastic place for a Friday night drink after work

We were curious to visit The Bush after hearing a number of excellent reviews. We were not disappointed, the food was fantastic and the staff were very friendly and attentive. There was a wonderful atmosphere in this lovely cosy pub. We will be back very...soon.More
