Great night out good barbecue and steel bands up to 10 pm then the live reggae bands start. If you go with the hotels for a trip they wiil bring you bacm before the reggae bands come on so book a taxi and go direct .

Caught a wonderful sunset, delicious supper and spectacular views from Shiley Heights. I would highly recommend taking a cab up. The steel band alone is worth the $8 US it costs to go to this National Park.

What stunning views over Nelsons yard and over to Montserrat. A loverly place to relax, take in the view and imagine what life was like where communications were cannons and /or flags......a must

We were on a tour and had a stop to visit Shirley's Heights and we enjoyed a few beers at this restaurant located in the former guard house that was built in 1791. Service was friendly. We were told that this is a popular place on the weekends. Prices are listed in ECD, but they accepted USD.

Having been log-time visitors to the island, a trip to Shirley's is the highlight of our stay. The music is outstanding, especially the Antigua Steel Band, who seem to get better each year! The BBQ is excellent, look out for the Cheesecake - it's to die for! The owner, Val, has become a good friend of a number of years... More

We drove there on a Sunday evening and paid a modest sum to enter at the gate. The views at night over the bays are stunning with good sea views before darkness fell.We enjoyed the food and the music. There is probably not much else to do in the area on a Sunday evening.

We booked via the hotel and paid $24 usd each. This was for a shared return transfer. There was 14 in total all on a minibus. At the venue you pay $10 usd each entry fee. We bought a dark and stormy ( rum & ginger beer) and a strawberry daiquiri, each round cost $10.50 usd. The steel band was... More

The sunset over Monseratt was awesome. The view of of Nelson's Dockyard and English harbour is great. The steel drum band was entertaining. And the food and drinks were good, although overpriced. But after an hour it's time to go. It's way too crowded and you can barely hear yourself think. Stay for the sunset, views, and a drink while... More
