There’s a lot of buzz about this establishment but I was severely underwhelmed. We booked for a big group and were grateful that they managed to get us a table. However, they had no lobster alive (out of season) but still had imported lobster, which...More

We had such a great meal here. At first I was a little disappointed that they didn't have fresh lobster as it was out of season but what I did have more than made up for this. They freeze lobster tails when they are in...More

This is sort of a shack looking building, not glamorous or five star at all. Extremely casual - (plastic chairs etc.). It is all open, so no air conditioning, and flies can become a bit of a nuisance, but many places in Barbados are open,...More

Face it - Bridgetown downtown is mostly a hot mess of cruise oriented retail and places to pass by on your way to somewhere else on Barbados. However, tucked away in a corner near some budget beach clubs is Lobsters Alive. You go there to...More

Yes they do accept Credit Cards. It a huge favourite with the Cruise trippers, so an advantage for them to accept them. Enjoy your meal, try to sit away from the outside bar if you can some of the bodies that pop up for... More

Lunch Menu is on their website. Just search for lobster alive Barbados. Tripadvisor won't let me post the link.

To be sure why not email them directly. They are very prompt in replying and very helpful. If you have a Sunday in Barbados then I would recommend the Sunday jazz lunch. It is a great atmosphere.

Description
The restaurant initially began as a wholesale distributor for the island's hotels and restaurants. Cooked takeaway service was added; along with a friendly free beer while you wait. Shortly after that the health inspector demanded we go the whole way or "wholesale only". This was around 1998. Long time friend and fellow musician with the local VSOP Jazz band "Stu Jenkins" became the resident artist (designer) and we named the up coming restaurant "LOBSTER ALIVE and all that Jazz". We felt our way; with many of the usual restaurant mistakes. But it seems now, we have scored quite well with international critics, restaurant guide books; and our many repeat customers.
