I usually resist tourist-traps like this, but I have to admit that the daiquiri was very delicious and the atmosphere fun (except for the tourists who just pushed through with cameras in hand - not actually participating in the experience). Music was fun. I'd go...More

Apparently a ‘must go’ in Havana, but we found it very very touristy and not a great atmosphere at night, also due to the very bright lightning, which was really a killer... The live band playing was good though and the staff very kind

Havana had thousands of attractions, restaurants, bars and so forth... My friens and I spent a good day in January 6, 2019, hanging around in Old Havana; including the iconic ones El Floridita. This bar is full of tourist all the time. It is hard...More

Hemingway sits at the end of the bar whilst waiters serve up cocktails. Not cheap by local standards, but definitely worth a visit.

By all accounts Hemingway was a regular here where he drank daiquiri's. For all those on his trail this is a 'must visit' bar. It is however very crowded and it's a real fight to get to the bar to get served. But it is...More

This was part of a Hemingway Havana tour. We did have to wait a bit for our tables but it was worth the wait. Food was good and daiquiris were delicious. It is a shame they let people in just to take pictures. It made...More

There is a statue of Hemingway sat at the bar, his favourite for a daiquiri. It must have been amazing then. Nowadays it is absolutely rammed with tourists and not a local in sight. The mediocre daiquiris are dished out with little charm and the...More

We went for the mandatory daiquiri next to Hemingway's statue and, despite the place being a tourist trap and very expensive, we thoroughly enjoyed our half hour! The bartenders (way better than some trendy "mixologists") were excellent fun and the live Cuban music was great...More

We thoroughly enjoyed our daiquiris just as Hemingway did - funnily enough we met some Parisian visitors who looked right at home in a space that could been transported straight from Pigalle. Great vibe, live music and drinks.

My wife and I went to Floridita to meet a friend. We had been sightseeing around central Habana and it was decided to meet there. The first place we were seated in the restaurant was not acceptable to my wife due to the fact that...More

You don't need a reservation to go in to enjoy the music. You just walk in. I wouldn't think this would be a place you would have dinner. The food may be okay, but probably only okay, and it will be overpriced. There are... More
