What a place - full of atmosphere and laughter........if visiting Havana, I'd highly recommend a visit to Floridita (made popular by Ernest Hemmingway) for it's fantastic array of delicious Daiquiri's. This bar, offers live-music and a lot of people (cheek to jowl) in this elegant place (caught in a time-warp). Stay a while, enjoy a Daiquiri, soak up some of... More

This place has a great history and a very good daiquiri. The quality of the drink is not great but it is good. It is good to visit.

How not to visit Floridita if you are in Havana? We went for curiosity and we found an entire world of interesting things. Live music , best daiquiris in the world and more a very good restaurant in an environment which makes you feel in another time of history. As a matter of fact and despite of the enormous amount of... More

Floridita is probably all the things people have written in the bad reviews, but we had a great time! Yes its busy, yes it gets crowded, yes lots of people taking lots of photographs. However, the atmosphere, live music and unbelievably busy bar staff make the visit. Great range of daiquiri's and mojito's. Is La Floridita authentic? No idea, but... More

Visited Floridita as part of a full day trip to Havana, the place was very packed due to the nature of the place, we ate a 3 course meal which was very pleasant and they even accommodated vegetarians. We had one of their famous Daiquiri, have to say even though they invented it I have had better. I would avoid... More

Just like you must go to the Raffles Long Bar for a Singapore Sling when in Singapore, one must go to the Floridita in Havana to hang out with the Papa statue at the bar and spend too much on a cold drink. It just must be done.

El Floridita is famous because Ernest Hemingway used to drink his daiquiris here. They must have been cheaper then, because for the current price of 6 $CUC his drinking habits are clearly unaffordable. Now it is a bit of a tourist trap located in the centre of the centre of Havana, near the Hotel Parque Central on the corner of... More

Nodding as I read all the other reviews. Like any venue, your experience will depend upon your expectations. I went there to see the group "Los Hermanos", who are at the top of their game. They rock! Yes, drinks are way too expensive. Go in all enjoy the vibe for 30 minutes then head on down Obispo for food, drinks... More

Don't go in if you're a real Hemingway fan, there's a risk it will spoil your image of this place. Would have been a cool place in 1955, but it's the biggest tourist trap in Havana now. About 200 coach party type tourists all with the "signature cocktail" in there when I looked in. Daiquiris which are CUC 2-3 elsewhere... More

We went to this great Hemingway's hangouts! Bartenders there can make a drink! Great ambiance, great music!
