We stumbled upon this small restaurant, open to the sea across the Malecon, and returned twice. The décor is interesting with its mock cathedral ceilings.(see photo provided by TripAdvisor). The first time, I ordered grilled fish...delicious and well cooked and it came with rice and some raw salad veggies for 4CUC. My husband had the brochette of meat (4.50CUC) and... More

Again seeking vegetarian food, nothing on the menu, waiter stated we could order beans and rice at a cost of 4 CUC's. When we got the bill, the beans and rice cost 5 CUC's. This is 6.50 Canadian for rice and a few beans - a bit steep considering the value of the food. We saw the inside of the... More

Very good, authentic. We ate there at least 4 times in 3 days. The service is slow, well because, it's cuba, and also they are getting a lot more tourist that what they can accommodate. The trick is to order everything at once. really, order 2 waters, 4 mojitos(delicious and only $2 per), and the main dish all at once.... More

We were walking down the Malecon and wanted a place for lunch. People had said to only go to restaurants that were busy so I was a little hesitant. I didn't need to be. I had a ham and cheese sandwich which was average. And they didn't have Cuban beer -- I ordered a Heinekin. But the atmosphere was nice... More

We were hoping to have a nice lunch before flying back home. Unfortunately, we made the wrong decision to eat here. First, the tables were dirty. We waited nearly an hour for our meals. When it arrived, it was the worst rice dish we had been served during our 2 weeks in Cuba. Watery and uncooked with bits of "seafood".... More

Great place to stop and cool off with some cold drinks while walking the Malecon. We ordered some food here (beef steak) and it was tough and inedible. Pina colada was very syrupy and I'm not sure if I fully trusted the ice they used to make it. I would stick to beers here but it is a quick and... More

This is a place right on the Malecon, close to the harbour, right in old Havana. Gives you a good view on the Malecon and the groups of people partying and playing music. So a fun place to got to for drinks after 11PM. They have different sorts of beer although if you hit it really late they might have... More

We crossed the wide highway, dodging a few cars and taxis, from the sea wall to the buildings the other side to seek out a refreshing drink. We had a delicious mojito for $1.95CUC - Bench seats so you can always strike up a conversation with others if you're so inclined.

The location is right on Malecón and the design is in oriental style. The restaurant is only on terrace (no inside room) and you should accept the noise of the four lane street. The food is classic Cuban and of reasonable quality as well as moderate price. The service staff is bored and slow - consider enough time. You will... More

On the Malecon good food served in a reasonable time. The seats are not very comfortable so the tendency would be not to linger after having eaten and getting back on your feet to walk the Malecon.
