This place is a place to see but no need to buy a drink - it is way to expensive and there are extreamly crowded with other turists.

The place oozes with history...almost wonder who in the mid and late 50's didn't order a daiquiri there. It is almost always packed so hold a couple of 5 CUC bills in your hand, push your way towards any bartender and make it happen! Lots of interesting people there and conversations to be had! Gotta do it!

Managed a table here mid afternoon. Enjoyed our Daiquiris and musical entertainment. Very popular especially at lunch time. Good to follow Hemingway!

Looking for a late lunch, we had passed the Floridita several times during our time in Havana but had been put off by the crowds queuing to get into the bar (in many cases, apparently, simply to take photos). Glad we persisted on this occasion - having fought our was through the bar, we arrived in the blissfully quiet and... More

How can you NOT check out the Floridita when in Havana? There's a life size statue of Hemingway in the corner, who was a frequent patron in the early thirties. Of course, we had to try the daiquiri. It was...mediocre. My friend swears she saw them using some sort of daiquiri powder to make them, so that explains the poor... More

Probably the best daquiri in the world. This place is the quintessential Cuba experience. A little touristy, but what can you expect. The bartenders are all expert at their craft and although this place is packed, you get fast service. Cuban live music as well makes this place great.

If you're a fan of Hemingway, it's almost impossible not to come here at all. This was his favorite bar and where the daiquiri was created. He wrote many books in this spot. It's definitely a landmark so if you intend on having a drink while you're here which I recommend you do to feel his presence.... be prepared to... More

I walked by this place many times on a recent trip to Havana. Talked about going in, but it had received too much hype for us. It was closed when we went by early in the day. When we went by after it opened there were lines out the door. A mob scene. If you are a diehard Hemingway fan... More

I didn't eat here, but I can tell you the daquiris are strong, cold, and delicious. It's a tourist trap just like La Bodeguita, but its worth it at least for the drink. It's much more spacious that La Bodeguita too. Come in, snipe a seat, grab two daquiris, get out.
