Always a stop when I am in Havana, especially with groups of 5 to 15 people. Beautiful atmosphere and consistently good all you can eat family style food, especially their famous chicken. El Aljibe has an excellent wine cellar (ask to go in) and the prices are hard to beat. Plus the attached cigar shop is my favorite in all... More

We were with about 25 people and were seated promptly. The food was good and they do accommodate for vegetarians. Nice atmosphere as the space is open air. It was good but not one of my favorites as there are so many great restaurants in Cuba.

We went to this restaurant with a group of eight people. The opening dish was aljibe which is a local soup with root vegetables, corn, broth, and chicken or pork. Very good. Following that we had chicken with beans and rice, and finished with a rice pudding. The mojitos were also very good. A great place to go to experience... More

Cuba is in my opinion not that good when it comes to gastronomy. This place is however, an exception. It specializes in chicken and black beans, but can replace the chicken with omelet for veggies + Unlimited rice and black beans.

Under a thatched roof with large ceiling fans and open to the air is a collection of of long tables that form an unassuming restaurant. The crispy skinned chicken is the best in Cuba--- moist and flavorful. All the traditional sides were great, especially the plantain chips. Desert was also delish. All in all a meal not to be missed.

Stopped here with a group for lunch. Service good& food was tasty Cuban cuisine. The staff was a bit overwhelmed but did a good job for the most part. Some items were "family style"& Shared food with group, little skimpy. Really liked the setting in the tropical veranda & live music was a nice touch as well.

Our very large group of 29 people had reservations, so we were seated as soon as we arrived. This restaurant is able to manage multiple large groups all at the same time. The interior is very clean. The tables are under a thatch roof with open walls. Customers sit at comfortable large wooden tables and chairs. The restaurant specializes in... More

We were told this was a most go. The chicken was good, but would not be in my top 3 places to go. It is family style and they had wandering musicians which was a nice touch. If you like low key and family style you will like this choice.

It was our last night in Havana and our group was at 24. We had reservations and were seated right when we arrived. Of course we all ordered the family style chicken and it was all we had hoped for. The food service music was great! I feel this is a must when in Hanana

Served family style with black beans & rice, the roasted chicken in secret sauce can't be beat. Very tasty and served all you can eat for one price. Enjoy this classic traditional family style meal in the open air, palapa like structure. Service is slow but just know you are on island time ~ Make sure and visit the smoke... More
