What a spot! I visited as part of a group of travel professionals touring the Dominican Republic and we're known for being terribly hard to please. The food was great, the staff impressive but really it was the wonderful atmosphere that did it for me. We sat outside looking over the lively square with live spanish guitar and flamenco dancing.... very nice restaurant, great menu and superb quality food. Combine this with with a friendly staff, smooth service, great wines and fair pricing and you'll have a place you want to return to, which we did three times in one week

This restaurant is located across from the port and, along with its neighbors has an outdoor patio. I ate inside and found the food to be extremely good although it was a bit pricey. The service was pretty good but I'm not sure will go there again because it was expensive.

OK, had another great meal here and aware that is of a very good quality. But seriously, I was charged over $5 USD for bread. My meal and wine was over $60, but I was aware of the price. A few pieces of bread for $5? Come on guys....

First I would like to say that the food was excellent! My partner had the meat skewer and I had the steak, both had good sized portions, lots of flavour and well presented. At first we were seated, our orders taken and it didn't take too long for the food to come out. After we had finished our meals, the... More

Just finished lunch at Pate Palo. Overall it was excellent and the goat rocks it. The avocado onion rings, mushrooms and then goat (chivo) all matched with icy cold beer and great service just made it a treat! Highly recommended!

Be very but very patient. It will take a long time to be served at this restaurant. And by the way, they offer you and sell you Grouper (Fish) (Mero). It is a lie. Maitre D. recognized it after two waiters denied it. Not Mero. It's another cheaper frozen fish. Believe me, I do eat a lot of fish. Want... More

Pat'e Palo my favorite restaurant in Santo Domingo. I have never had a bad meal here. It is a definite a place to eat. Bone in New York Strip with a cauliflower puree and roasted cabbage. Enough for two people maybe even three.

Great food and atmosphere. The apple crisp appetizer is amazing. Our family of four all had different main courses and they were all incredible. Cool part is this place is located right by Christopher Columbus's home. Highly recommend visiting both.

I have been in Pata'e Palo few times in the last few months, I love the place. it's not cheap but worth every penny. Be aware that is always packed but generally there is always a table available. The service is great, the waiters are informed, polite and on top of your table. The food is just amazing. Try the... More
