Services was impeccable, can't beat the location for day or night. Watch the sunset from the bar or patio, access to the beach, excellent drinks and price. Fun as a spot for friends or families. A stop not to miss!

Soup was fantastic, club sandwich with it was great. Compared with most restaurants here price is a little high but we ate like kings for $30 for two. Views are great right on the beach. Nice pool table here and bar with plenty of drinks.

We had lunch here and we were served at the very top level looking at the ocean. The wind was not from the sea so needed to get up high for the breeze. Our server happily went up and down many stairs. Cold beer and very good hamburgers. We will go back. Very nice atmosphere and a step up from... More

empty yes, but why? only the large reception towards the malecon is open; towards the beach the porch is closed. from there one could be thinking that the restaurant is closed---unfortunately. the view to the open sea from inside is beautiful. the swiss cook (former cook on a containership) could certainly do better.

This restaraunt is an experience you have to see. The decor. The service. You can dine on the beach. The food and service is great. Very clean you have to see to believe. Is a little pricy but for that special dining experience it will exceed everything

You can choose the colour scheme and decoration from their catalogue and they're very professional and flexible with everything you want for a really good... More

We discovered this restaurant, apparently using both names, "Escape" or "Cafe" Al Mar, before it appeared in Tripadvisor or any guidebook, and we ended up going a half-dozen times. Its charm is not what you'll see from the malecón. But once inside there's an ambience of the old Casa Blanca movie -- minus the piano, unfortunately. We visited nearly all... More
