Good Carribean food. Service was terrible. Waiter ignored us as long as he could. He failed to give information about anything it all had to be asked. Limited drinks selection. The location is noisy and fumes from traffic. Poor experience

Authentically home-style looking place. As in most restaurants, what’s on the menu and what is actually available has little connection. We came for oil down as this was “the authentic place” for it and tapas that had good reputation. They did not have either. Wait...time was long, even though that was only one other table in use while we ate there (again, that is not unexpected) The food we got was good though. The soup is great, and the roti is both tasty and a good value. Fancier dishes were less impressive. Not perfect, yet it was one of the best meals we had on the island.More

Met with a warm greeting & a smile! Goat platter and creole fish were good. They specially made conch fritters which were to die for! Anytime, I vacation in the Caribbean I expect “Island Time. ” There isn’t a hustle and bustle like our native...homes, which is the reason we vacation. Go vacation elsewhere and leave Grenada to the people who want to relax and vacation.More

How can it take over an hour and a half to cook a simple meal? Well, one way is if you have a cook everything. Vegetable fritters were just mash and batter. Creole fish was mash through being very overcooked and the rice had stayed...in the pot all day I think. This place, recommended, was a real disappointment.More

Listen to the recent reviews! I thought maybe these reviews were just one offs and we stupidly went here on our first night. What a huge mistake and embarrassment. We finally left after 2.5 hours of "tapas." 15 cold, tiny portions of food- 12 being...vegetable. Maybe one forkful each tapa. We all 5 left hungry. We were never given the final tapa of spice cake because the waiter "couldn't find it" so he just didnt come back for a very long time instead of informing us. When seated we asked if they took cards and the answer was yes. At the end they only took cash bc "their machine was down all day." Overall zero stars and you should NOT bother eating here unless you arrive full and are in no hurry for beverages and enjoy sitting on hard chairs for 2.5 hours. The good reviews are from a different restaurant in my opinion.More

We were so excited by all the positive reviews. We arrived, with a reservation, 6:30 pm to an empty restaurant with my extended family (adults and teenagers) and ordered entrees, 3 tapas orders for the table and bottled drinks which came right away from a...charming waiter. The drinks came quickly and were great, but the food was partially released slowly over the next 3 1/2 agonizing hours, which was later than their stated closing time. We never received all our food and left in sorrow and hunger after someone in charge came to our table after 10 pm to explain defensively that they needed to serve 45 people in the now mostly empty restaurant, after several other tables left in anger. They tried to explain that the never fully delivered individual tapas dishes served, which matched the pictures fellow travelers posted here as individual dishes, was in fact three tapas orders and not one. When we pointed out that one plate with three plantain slices the size of the tip of your thumb could not possibly have served three people, they said it did. We were -not- as angry as the other diners who came and left before we did. We asked for a check with a request to skip the rest of the food order, and when that could not be accomplished after a lengthy period of time, we ourselves calculated the price of the full meals we had ordered, including food never received, and handed them cash. A couple at another table was observing this interaction in shock and later explained that this was their last night in Grenada, they were still hungry and unhappy as well and said they would write a review. The best part of the night were our several teenagers, who remained in good, but hungry spirits and we saved the night by scraping bestovers together at our rented house. Don’t let this happen to you, especially with young children, or you too will be adding your own tale of woe. Curiously, when we asked days later the opinion of several local native Grenadian guides from both our chartered boat as well as an all-day driving tour on whether they would recommend Patricks (we never told them our story) they said they were unfamiliar with the restaurant.More

I was excited to try local cuisine and after reading reviews was expecting fantastic food but a 45 minute wait. Reviewed pictures of the servings looked excellent to me. We went to Patrick’s and settled down for a long wait. The restaurant was full, albeit,...only with tourists. We sat next to a couple on their last night in Grenada; they appeared unhappy. I felt sorry for them. We placed our order after 10 minutes and got our drinks in another 10 minutes. We started playing 21 questions to pass the time. One hour later our first course came. It was the Callaloo soup. One of our servings was much smaller than expected. We asked the server who explained and apologized; they just ran out. They soup was delicious. I looked over at the couple on their last night and felt guilty, they still had not gotten any food. A ruckus burst out at the table on our other side of the dining area. The family that came in just after us was obviously agitated to hear there was no more soup. We went back to our game. Another hour passed and surprisingly the family got their soup. Soon after they brought us two of our eight main courses. We split the entrees into eight portions. A group of diners on the other side of the seating area left without being served at all. My son started to carp about the long wait. It was past two hours. I joked that he should go pick us up some chicken from KFC. Mercifully, the couple got their appetizers. We went back to our game but a two of our party laid they head on the table to nap. We began to worry that the restaurant would close before we were served. It was 9:45PM. I told my so. To run to KFC before they closed. Five minutes later he called and said KFC closed early. Just then a few more servings of our order came out: brown tasteless potato Salad, grey mashed lentils both of which were inedible. We left and went to sleep hungry.More

Patrick's home cooking tapas menu has been a mainstay of our frequent trips to Grenada but this time they really dropped the ball. We had reservations for a group of 10 in advance to experience the wide variety of Grenadian Home Cooking we've had in...the past. What we got (after waiting for hours) was an ill prepared and uninspired tapas menu that was obviously thrown together on the fly and lacked so many of those dishes we have come to expect over the past 30 years of visiting Grenada and Patrick's. If you're going to eat here skip the original tapas concept and order off the menu. Times have changed.More

Was recommended by our stay host to do the Tapas here. They did not disappoint, and its true the dishes just keep coming! Bring your appetite! There is no menu so you have no idea whats coming! If you can handle the unknown order off...the menu. The food was fantastic! Service was a little awkward to start but once we got our drink and food order in and going it was fantastic!!More

A tasty meal indeed. On my last day in Grenada, I took a walk to Patrick's to purchase lunch for my wife and I. The food was cooked to order and the price was pretty okay for the amount of food you received.

We had a great dining experience at Patrick’s. My parents are from Grenada and it’s been 25 years since I have been back to the island. With so many relatives abroad and others who have passed, I wanted some food that was close to home....If you’re looking for traditional Grenadian food and want to get a real taste of Grenada, you must eat at Patrick’s. The curry goat, stew fish, and curry chicken were delicious. Each meal came with a side of rice and peas, plantain and a little bit of salad. The curry goat and fish dish also had a side of callaloo, which is similar to spinach or kale. It’s a leafy green that is rich in nutrients. The curry chicken dish, which our kids ordered, did not come with callaloo; instead, they had butternut squash. It was a pleasant experience and we plan to come back.More

This restaurant was recommended to me by my AirbnB host, and I am so grateful! The owner and her son took excellent care of me! I asked for a vegetarian option and was made the most delicious meal I've had in a long time. I...took it to go and dined on rice and peas, curry potatoes, veggies in a coconut cream sauce, and a veggie fritter...I was so pleased. I can tell the food is made with expertise and more importantly love. I can tell the owner and staff care deeply about service and quality. I highly recommend and will return. I've already raved about the food to others! If you want authentic Grenadian food, in a warm and friendly atmosphere, this is your spot.More
