Visted after a Cathedral tour. Very nice mix of regional cuisine. Lovely watermelon and arugala salad with goat cheese. Pretty courtyard setting in a former convent hotel.

This is a restaurant/bar in the courtyard of the Hotel El Convento. Comfortable and relaxed hideaway from the busy streets of Old San Juan. Our server was attentive and friendly, our order well prepared. We look forward to a return visit some time.
Went on a Saturday night with my wife for dinner and have a few drinks. It is located at the Convento Hotel. Nice and quite ambient. Very friendly servers. We sit at the bar and we were very pleased with the service. We had wine and whisky. The food was perfectly cooked and delicious taste. We had the chicken soup... More
This was our last night, extra special restaurant to visit. From the appetizer to the dessert, the food was wonderful. Our waitress explained everything so well, gave us extra information and was delightful. The atmosphere - pretty patio area surrounded by the lovely hotel was extremely nice.
This restaurant and bar is in the El Convento Hotel. The courtyard makes you feel like you are in Spain. The drinks are generous and the food is Puerto Rican and authentic. This is a beautiful spot for drinks or a meal.

we may have just hit a bad day, but although the server was delightful, the food was really ordinary. we were very disappointed... since there are so many wonderful restaurants in old san juan, i would recommend only coming here for the lovely patio, the beautiful hotel and the really great pina coladas...
I went to Patio del Níspero to celebrate Valentine's Day and it was perfect. We start with a celery soup with mushroom raviolis. For second course we get the sea bass in an incredible mussel broth (this was my favorite). Then we get the main dish of a great hang steak in a mashed potato bed. Simply gorgeous!!! Ee finish... We took the family to del Nispero to remind us all of past visits to the hotel and city. We all had traditional recommended PR dishes, and thoroughly enjoyed the flavours and spices along with a great atmosphere. Service was excellent, and the casually elegant feeling was a great break from the day. Would highly recommend both the hotel and... More
Chef Joel Perez made our 7-course meal truly an experience that we will never forget. This was uniquely his own style yet very Puerto Rican and traditional, with hand picked herbs. If you want to have the best evening of your life in Puerto Rico meet with Joel and be prepared to have your senses overloaded!!!!
