My group was on vacation, and we were searching for the best restaurant in San Juan. Every local we asked pointed us towards Marmalade, and we were not disappointed. The toughest decision of the trip was which dishes we would order from the superb and playful menu. The waiter was very patient, and he was not shy to describe menu... More

One of the best meals I've had anywhere. We did the 5 course meal with wine pairing, which was worth every penny. Loved every course. We try to find a restaurant of this caliber when vacationing and we both thought this was extraordinary.

A most wonderful dinner with wine paring. Expensive but well worth it. Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable and attentive. A great experience!

You absolutely have to check out Marmalade while in Old San Juan. Everything was amazing...from the food, the atmosphere and the service! The menu can be slightly complicated but the waitress was happy to explain. We tried the white bean soup....which was delicious! We can't say enough about this restaurant.

CREATIVE GENIUS!!!!! From the cool vibe to the fabulous decor to the extensive yet original menu this is THE place to dine when in Puerto Rico!!! Cat, our server, whose detailed and animated descriptions made each item almost impossible to pass on, and Peter Schintler, the owner and chef, was visible yet nonintrusive.

Superior in every way. Terrific tasting menu with lots of great choices. Peter and his wife run the room like clockwork. Servers are knowledgable and pleasant. This time lovely Charlotte took care of us. We have been here many times and each has been memorable. A table in the center of the room is best. The sides, beside pillars, can... More

Marmalade is a must stop if you are in San Juan. The tasting menu comes in combinations of 4/5/6 course depending on your appetite. We went with the 4 course and everything was exceptional. The white bean soup and paella are a must!!! Chef Stephen Schintler visited every table to explain the food. The sea bass was the best I... More

Prior to our visit, all we heard about was the White Bean Soup at Marmalade. During our visit, all we heard about was the White Bean Soup. After our visit, I am a convert. We had a prix fixe 4 course meal. All courses were excellent, although we found that several places (including Marmalade) overcook there fish. Otherwise, the meal... More

This was the best food we had in San Juan. We did the 6 course menu. Everything was great. Loved the pork cheeks. Loved everything. Make reservations as this place fills up. Looking forward to going back.

We had the 5 course dinner, with popcorn shrimp, a special tuna tartar with Harissa, white bean soup (good, but truffle oil was overpowering), special pork belly and scallop, rabbit pasta (excellent), lamb taking (delicious), branzino, and the two chocolate desserts. Everything was good but nothing was memorable. The portion are too large for a tasting course, in our opinion.
