A genuine Andalucian taberna which offers good, traditional southern Spanish tapas. Their gambas al ajillo (garlic prawns), Tortilla and boquerones al vinagre were all delicious and as close we got to proper Spanish tapas in San Juan. The owner (from Malaga) also gave us a free taster of his Caldo Gallego (Galician soup) which was brilliant. Not fine dining but would... More

Went with my wife to have a few tapas and the food was very bad. La fabada looked like they poor extra water to yield more. Los piquitos were overcooked and stale. Arroz con chorizo was tasteless. The eggplant in a tomato sauce tasted old. My wife ended with vomiting and diarrhea. I think it was the eggplant. Truly do... More

We went for a week in October to San Juan and experienced more of what the island has to offer - once again we visited this place - it was on our food tour - and again the staff was great and people are amazing - the fod choices on the tour were not my favorite but I would go... More

Awesome Spanish food and tapas. Tapas were more like "media ración". Very nice staff and wicked friendly owner. My Mom and I had a wonderful experience there and plan to go back for the paella which they said was their best plate.

The staff are very attentive without being overly so. Very helpful with recommendations of other places to visit. The food is amazing! Order what you like and substitutions are welcome. If you're a beer fan you must try the Alhambra from Spain. It reminds me of a Marzen...very malty but not too sweet. Went there at least 3 times and... More

Went because it was closed to our hotel and it was raining. There were a lot of mosquito and didn't have any insects repellent in the place. Food didn't taste like Spaniard culinary, and got sick out of it. I don't recommend it. It's looks like a tourist trap. Wouldn't go again.

At Rosa de Triana we found good tapas, good service, good flamenco show and a friendly and very Spanish atmosphere. Located at Old San Juan, just in front of Hotel El Convento... Recommended!!

Skip the tourist places down by the piers, this is the real deal! Great atmosphere in one of the oldest buildings in OSJ, formerly a jail. Eat inside on on the patio but eat. Great selection of Tapas if you want to eat light; the order of Paella is enough for 3 people. Be sure to order the special sangria... More

Good food and drinks with Flamenco Dancing shows on the weekends. A bit on the expensive side for what we ate, but worth it given the very fun evening! Friendly, hospitable hosts.

On a hot and humid day, we wandered into this restaurant - chose to sit outside in the shaded courtyard and found a gem of a place! The server was endearing and helpful, the tapas were perfect and the mojitos (especially at Happy Hour prices) we just what we needed. If you want great (I mean super tasty) local flavors,... More
