After a morning of exploring the island, we stopped in at Bananas, a well-reputed restaurant along the Malecon in Esperanza for lunch. We all ordered salads, and each one was delicious. My daughter and husband chose caesar salads (fabulously fresh with very tasty dressing) topped, respectively, with large portions of ahi tuna and swordfish. I ordered a chopped salad with... More

We absolutely love Bananas! Their menu has a great selection, the food is awesome, service outstanding and FAST, and BEST happy hour here. We have been here 10 days, and we've probably been there 8 times for lunch, happy hour or dinner.......and lucky us we have 4 more days! The owner Kelly was great - friendly, very hard worker. You... Nothing exciting here. Mediocre ceviche... the fish was nice, but it was overloaded with sweet pepppers and no cilantro. The lobster rangoons were pretty bad. The fish in the fish tacos was very tasty, but the guacamole in the tacos was tasteless. My husband thought the pork sliders were good, but they seemed sweet to me.

The service was friendly, the prices were fair and the vibe was lively and friendly. We went back a second time and it was just as... More

We went here after our bio tour. Its a casual place, and the food is very good. Different local and international dishes and the food has a high quality. Service also was good. We were all satisfied and left content.

We came here at 9:30 PM to get some apps and drinks after going to the bio bay. They seated our party of 4 quickly. The drinks were good and the apps were tasty and fast.

The seafood was great (best Calamari and mussels ever!) and we thought it was the most food for your money.
