We discovered this visit that the Sol Truck seems to have closed down. Unfortunate as it was a terrific place to stop on the way to the beach.

We drove passed it twice daily for a week, never open. A sign, at the very least, would have been helpful.

Was there in January 2017 and the Sol truck looked abandoned by the side of the road. We were there for 10 days and never saw it open.

Like others, we really wanted to eat at Sol Food because of the reviews but also because it's really the only place near the wildlife refuge. If you're staying in Isabella Segunda, as we were, it's a long drive to any other place. We ultimately did stop at the cafe right at Sunbay beach, where the staff was very friendly,... More

Closed while in the island from 12/28/16 to 1/5/17. So disappointed Last two visits during 2008/2009 and again 2010/2011 were so fun. Loved their pastelilos

We spent several days on the Island and daily went to the wild life refuge, never saw it opened. It would be great because it was hard to find something small and not that expensive near by.

Sol Food's home is a fun, funky converted panel truck just outside of Camp Garcia, or the Vieques National Wildlife Refuge. Best food I've had on this beautiful island, and that's saying something, because it's nearly impossible to find any bad food on La Isla Nina. My wife and I are addicted to the "Bob Marley," an indescribably delicious jerk... More

Very tasty and reasonably priced local food. Takeaway truck, run by friendly chefs. Good quality food to take to the beach with you or to hang out and chat with.

Who would think that a New Yorker would make the best empanadas on Vieques. Do yourself a favor and stop here for lunch on your way to the beach.
