Cruizin was a fantastic experience. I was given their name by my Airbnb host up the road. When I arrived I was greeted with a smile by owners Keisha and her husband Andre, who showed me to a seat. Keisha let me know that most of their food is local, and then showed me an area behind the restaurant where... More

I live on Tortola, and there are lots of restaurants that due to their location or taxi driver/hotel referrals, seem to get most of tourist business. There are actually not too many good ones. Many times the best offered is no more than a frozen fish/chicken/burger-usually tasteless and an indifferent wait staff. (Think of the bland options at Cane Garden... More

Had dinner plans elsewhere but change of mind at the last minute with a guest craving local BVI food. One of the dinner guest suggested this place, ooohhh my what a night, had the jerk fish, mashed breadfruit and sautee papaya😙😙😙 i fell in love with that dish. I ate everything, only the fish head and bones remained. Would highly... More

This place is a gem. We really wanted to find jerk chicken and this place did not disappoint. The husband and wife that run it were so welcoming. Chicken was delicious! She even ran in the back and cut a big piece if aloe for my husband who had itchy legs due to bug bites. Talk about service!

In 1995 we visited the Shell Museum on our honeymoon and wanted to come back to visit. We found Egberth, owner and musician who we had met all those years ago. He took us over to the Cruzin Bar & Grill where his son and daughter-in-law treated us to the best jerk chicken we've ever had. But while we waited... More

We had stopped to see the 'Shell Museum' (meh) and spotted this place. We had been looking for somewhere to eat with local flavor. This was it! We were in BVI during the slow season and weren't even sure they were open, but the owner came out and invited us in. We had an amazing meal! Bread fruit fries started... More

We saw a Fish Fry sign and pulled in for an early dinner on a recent Friday. The owner/hostess/waitress was a delight. Kind, informative and generous. As we waited for our meals to be prepared she walked us around the property and explained the various plants, fruits, vegtables, etc. She prepared breadfruit fries just so we "could try them" 3/6... The new owners of Cruzin' have made it a point to use local ingredients prepared with their own special touches. Everything is done from scratch and use native ingredients such as papaya, coconut, and soursop that grow on property as well as local fish fresh from the fishing landing across the street. On a recent trip we had the pleasure... More

My wife and I have visited Tortola more times than I can remember. Our dinner the other night at Cruzin' in Carrot Bay was probably one of our best restaurant experiences. Recently reopened by local couple, Andre and Kesha Donovan, the menu consisted of local fare wonderfully prepared. Well worth the visit to the North Shore.

We were staying nearby and wanted a change from the usual tourist restaurants. We enjoyed a delicious meal with local homegrown produce and were made really welcome. I think the current proprietors have just taken over the cafe / restaurant. We enjoyed the jerk chicken with passion fruit and papaya and the red velvet cheesecake. Reasonably priced too.
