When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

First explain why when a resto is nearly empty they seat you at a table next to a service sideboard? Second explain how this unimaginative food or maybe it’s the chef - has a Michelin star? The presentation was attractive and perhaps one could go...so far as to say borderline creative. But the tastes were rather bland. Ingredients were repeated in the fillings from one course to the next (I had the 6 course Vegetarian tasting) and there was a heavy reliance on salt to carry each dish. The service was Impeccable. Gio, our primary server was an amazing sommelier.More

Wife and I had the Blue tasting menu with the wine pairing while spending a week at the Ritz Cayman. We had a 6:30 reservation and were the only ones in the restaurant for about an hour, which was really intimate and fantastic. The service...was what you’d expect, excellent top to bottom. Kudos to Kat who waited on us primarily, and was awesome. The food was spectacular, make sure to add on the oysters. Will do it again for sure!More

This was a wonderful dining experience from the moment we walked in! The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. We did the Eric Ripert tasting menu with the standard wine pairing, which was delicious! It is pricey, but worth the ambiance, service, and dining experience....They even had a selection of reading glasses for me, as I had forgotten mine. We made reservations the day before with the concierge with no issue. Highly recommend.More

My fiancé and I went to Blue in February 2023. We elected to have the Blue tasting menu and did the Chef’s Choice plus wine pairing. We were told the Chef’s Choice included two additional meat plates (so 8 courses total). We were not told...that those meats would cost extra in addition to the already up charged Chef’s Choice. I still have no idea what we actually paid for with the Chef’s Choice. Overall, the food and wine were good. However, the pricing makes no sense. We have had tasting menus at Michelin-starred restaurants all over the world and none came close to this. Our total bill ended up being approximately $1,800 USD. Waters alone are $18/bottle. We would not return.More

Crazy expensive but it’s a crazy unique experience. Our second time to dine at Blu was perfect. The tasting menus allowed us to try numerous dishes at the restaurant. The service was impeccable. We loved chatting with the sommelier and her loved pairings with our...dinner.More

For our anniversary dinner this year, we decided to do something very special: dinner at Blue in the Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman.  The person who took our reservation was pleasant and attentive.  As soon as we arrived, the very welcoming host wished us a happy anniversary...and seated us at a lovely table.  The servers who assisted us treated us each to a glass of champagne and explained the options on the menu. We chose the Eric Ripert tasting menu.  Every course was an amazing experience expertly combining each tasting item with a different unique, delicious sauce that was the perfect complement.  The service was equally exquisite: very attentive and genuinely friendly without being intrusive. A very memorable, thoroughly enjoyable, top-notch dining experience, outstanding in every aspect from beginning to end.More

If I could rate this restaurant with 10 stars I would. Everything was impeccable from the valets that parked our car to the attentive service, to the exquisite food. The servers were friendly, knowledgeable and attentive without being overbearing. The food could not have been...better- every bite was delicious. My wife had the vegetarian menu and I had the Ripert menu, so I actually had 2 tasting menus. And both menus were amazing- the different flavors exploded in one’s mouth with varied tastes and textures that went together as if they were made for each other. It is a special occasion restaurant, but I’ll be manufacturing as many special occasions as I can!More

From the moment we sat down till when we left , the dining experience was incredible. We chose the Eric Ripert tasting menu as well as the wine pairing. Each wine and course were preceded by the server explaining what we were getting. The food...was excellent and we loved all the courses. It was all wonderful. In fact when I ordered a cocktail and for some reason it was delayed for 20 minutes, when they brought it , they said it was complimentary due to the delay. That is incredible service.More

Food was very good. You have a choice of three tasting menus, including one vegetarian. They have priced it as a Michelin 3-star, which it is not. Elegant setting, but also nothing extraordinary. It is a fine dining experience, but you could eat equally well...at somewhere like Bacaro or Luca. I would not recommend eating here.More

There are many expensive restaurants that are good but don't always feel like they are worth the money. There are a very, very few expensive restaurants that are hands-down, worth every penny (or even more). BLUE is one of those exceptional places. I can't begin...to describe the food (where to start?) it was all so incredible. The amuse-bouche is wonderful and starts you on an incredible journey. I can say that the scallop dish may have been the best food I have every eaten in my entire life (and that includes the always lovely Le Bernadin). Great service and phenomenal dishes. We were celebrating my daughter's success at college--and she even got a beautifully presented ending sweets course presented just for her (we all got the course--but hers was special). Took our breath away in a marvelous way. Off-the-charts great. Beyond great--these people are geniuses.More

Cory is the non-stuffy server you need in your life! Came to the Cayman Islands to celebrate my 40th, and stayed at the Ritz. It’s rare we go to fine, Michelin-starred dining for endurance eating. But when in Rome… Cory (from Canada) was our server....He was young, he was hip, he was helpful. I put on my nicest Nikes next to the chagrin of my significant other who said “no one else is going to be wearing Nike’s!” She was right, everyone else was wearing wingtips and stilettos. But Cory was cool, said my Nikes were a fantastic choice for a decatsnt meal, and promised no one would be paying attention to my shoes after course number six of their wine pairing. And he was right… because even I wasn’t paying attention to my hipster-chic shoes after course number one, which was a tuna tartare pressed flat and presented on a plate to look quite… labial. And it was unequivocally the best dish of the night. Would go again. Splurge for the chef’s menu, pair it with the wine, and when Cory asks if you want to tap out and go for shorter pours after about the fifth course, rebuke his offer… you’re in for a penny, in for a pound.More

Not sure what’s going on with the service at Blue. Is every staff member at the Ritz Carlton untrained??? Called once a few days ago, no answer. Called the main line and was told to hold and I would be transferred - no answer, then...told to call back. My information should have been taken down regardless. Called again today and had a few questions about the menu and restaurant. The hostess just kept repeating that I need to make a reservation. Then I asked to make a reservation and was told “there isn’t anyone to take a reservation” and I need to call back tomorrow when Blue opens. Asked when they open and she said 10am. I called at 7:30pm and the restaurant was open at the time. Decided I wanted to call back because that hostess simply sounded lazy. Next lady said she will check if there’s anyone available to take a reservation - was then transferred to the restaurant. Reservation was taken and was told I would receive the Prix Fixe menu via email. It’s been awhile now and still haven’t received it. Really though - what’s going on here? Why the hassle???More

Though I had read reviews that it was closed, contacted ritz concierge and was able to get a booking for Saturday, august 13, which was also their last night open before closing for season (reopening October 27). The food and service was top notch, my...only complaint (if you can call it that lol) was even with the six course tasting menu, the courses are so generous that I started to fill up and wasn’t able to lick my plate clean in the later courses as I would have wanted. I have dietary restrictions (pescatarian, allergic to tuna, pregnant so can’t enjoy raw fish) and the restaurant was beyond accommodating and my food was just as delicious as my husband’s and I didn’t feel like I missed out at all. Amazing food coma to start to our vacation.More

Even though the restaurant is closed at present you don't have to miss out on the great food. Executive Chef Thomas and Chef Giulia come to your residence and prepare for you in the comfort of your own dining area the best personal service with...the freshest, tastiest food I have eaten on the island. Give them a call and make an appointment to pamper your taste buds, you won't regret it. Thanks to you Thomas for wonderful evenings.More
