On a most recent visit to Bequia we; after 9 years of visiting, discovered The Fig Tree. What a fabulous discovery this was, as we ended up dining there four nights in a row. All the dishes on their menu are local and sourced with mainly local ingredients. We tried the grilled Lobster (see photo) and Fish and they were... More

Delicious Lobster Roti and Fruit Salad but the best part was owner Cheryl's commitment to feeding the minds of young local children with her reading club and itinerant yachties with her lending library. The breeze on the patio's not too bad either!

The reason we stayed on Bequia this year is because we visited last year whilst staying on St Vincent and were blown away by the friendliness of all the staff, especially owner Cheryl and the lovely crab we had. A genuinely lovely restaurant which cares about your experience, we can't wait to go back. Give it a try, you'll love... More

First, let me start by saying that the manager, Mrs Johnson, is a superstar! Our large group arrived unexpectedly and she made us feel completely welcome with her personal service and warmth. I was having severe back pain and she even brought me a homeopathic cure (it helped!). I had been told by a friend who had recently visited that... More

We came to the island on a windjammer cruise and it's a bit off season so many things were closed. The fig tree was open welcoming and very accommodating for a party of 18 at the last minute! The food was incredible! I haughty recommend the lobster roti! Mrs. Johnson worked hard to make our experience amazing! Thank you!

Great spot to stop for a drink, appetizers, or a meal. It's on the walkway & Cheryl will be sure you are well cared for. Try the conch samosas!

There did not seem to be any organization in the restaurant. After asking for a drink several times, it finally took someone to notice us. Others came and went and we were still waiting to order our food. And then, to add insult, we were told not to write anything bad about them:-(

This was the best food of our trip. I had the Curried Conch, and my wife had the Curried Goat. The meals came with fried plantains, a small salad, rice, and some callaloo. The quantity of conch, the flavor, and the perfect cooking of the conch were all superb. I also tried the goat, and it was the best curried... More
