I am sorry to report... although the food was good, you couldn't believe how tiny the portions were. I know I know.. I am an Italian from Long Island New York..yeah yeah I get it.. we eat. I can understand many places do not feed you like your mom, but this was ridiculous. This was ordering a Ceasar Salad with... More

Home made pasta hard to beat. Pizza tough. Service dreadful. Bad attitude. Decor horrible. Prices high. We avoid.

Thanks for your review, I'm. Sorry you couldnt find anything good in my restaurant. I understand you do not like my home made pasta cook "al dente", my pizza beked in a wood fire oven, the prices, (fair for the quality we offer) and my friendly servers. But if you do not like the decorations, I can't really understand. Please... More

Expensive but good. It is hard to find good restaurants on the island. Every restaurant is expensive and mostly bad. This one is expensive too but offers a better value because the food (we had pizza and pasta - gnocchi esp good)and wine (house) is good. Tiramisu is the bomb.

We had many great meals in St. John on this family vacation. Until our final night in this Italian restaurant. We sat down, ordered a pizza appetizer, spinach ravioli appetizer, 2 lobster rav and a chicken parm dinner. The tiny pizza came pretty quickly.. But as for the rest, We barely got water, and waited for over an hour for... More

Salve, thanks for your review, before I answer to you I'd like to explain how my restaurant works: all the meals are cooked to order nothing is pre cook, that means if you order a chicken parmigiana, we fried the chicken and we bake it in the pizza oven as you probably notice. Also we have 2 different kitchen to... More

We had pizza as our appetizer and it was really good, not what i was expecting while in an island; our server was in top of his game, while he was taking care of the whole place by himself we had everything we needed the whole time but when asked about turning AC on i was told that it was... More

We ran into this place by accident, but had a great meal, nonetheless. The pizza was excellent, and the pasta alfredo with chicken, while looking like a small portion, left my wife and daughter refusing dessert. The waiter offered us a free glass of wine due to an order problem causing our meal to be delayed, but to be honest,... More

This is fine Italian dining, & the prices are high but well worth it for a splurge. Their foccacia bread, gnocchi in white sauce, & tiramisu were all SOOOOO yummy, & my server (Jorge?) was really friendly & attentive. I highly recommend this place.

This place has certainly gone down hill! I've been visiting da Livio for quite a few years now. It was one of my favorites on St John. This past trip was certainly a let down. The waiter told us that he never waited tables before and was filling in for a sick friend. He was trying in a difficult situation.... More

Hi, I'm little confused about your review: @ dalivio we do pizza in a wood fired oven, what you liked better, but we do not have any scampi dishes or crab in the menu, we never had a dish like that, like we don't use any chicken broth, especially in a fish dish! The menu is online so chek it... More

I have eaten in many an authentic Italian restaurant in my day, and have tasted dozens of bolognese sauces. This one was decent, if a bit greasy. Noodles fine. Bread a little chewy, likely due to the moist/humid climate. Tiramisu was good but the texture was a little too soft. They have a wood fired pizza oven outside the entrance.... More

Ciao, thanks for visit my restaurant and leave a feedback here. As you felt having dinner ar da Livio everything is made from scratch, from the bread, pasta, bolognese and tiramisù and I use the best ingridients, the quality is exepsnsive, especially here in the Virgin Island where everything cost from 30 to 50% more then in the States. We actually look forward to going to this place for good Italian. You don't expect to get authentic Italian on an island. Livio is the real deal. Don't miss their focaccia bread. Their appetizers are all amazing. Get a pizza as an appetizer you won't regret it. Their pasta dishes are authentic and made with the nest flavors. I have... More
