Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had the Grouper and Sirloin --the food was exquisite! The steak was melt in your mouth tender and the fish and accompanying sauce were perfect. The service is over-the-top attentive. While we agree with the other reviews that this is a pricey evening it...is a nice once-in-a-lifetime experience. There is piano music in the lounge where you can enjoy an before and/or after drink.More

My girlfriend and I spent an afternoon at the beautiful Graycliff hotel and restaurant while our cruise ship was docked at Nassau. We had read a great deal about Nassau, the new port area, the streets, and the shopping, and we were not quite sure...what to make of all the reviews. Some people even choose to stay on the ship in Nassau! We found Nassau to be quite lovely, and the people were kind. However, we are so glad that we booked a day pass at the Graycliff. The hotel has beautiful common areas reminiscent of the 1800s and colonial life in the Bahamas. The building has a fascinating history. The staff of the hotel/restaurant were wonderful, and the food for lunch was first-class and delicious! We highly recommend an afternoon at the Graycliff; it is such a welcome retreat from the modern cruise ship and the hustle and bustle of town. It is relaxing and wonderful.More

Great day with family at West hill street festival after a fantastic lunch at Greycliff, having the freedom to explore on an ATV was the best decision, we had a blast.

My 5th visit over a 15 year period and this place never disappoints... it still oozes luxury, excellence, and consistency after all these years. Perfect setting... great food, and unparalleled service. The best restaurant in Nassau and must visit on your next vacation.

Absolutely delicious meal topped with second-to-none service. Yes, the meal was very expensive, but if you know that going in, you’ll find the experience well worth it.

The food was over cooked, the wine list was over the top (they list vintages for wine I buy at my local grocery store in the US that is not sold by vintage) everything was overpriced for the quality, and the atmosphere was overly pretentious.More

One of the true gems of the Bahamas. Great setting with fantastic food in an old mansion. The food is truly amazing and a visit to the second largest private wine collection after dinner is highly recommended.

We did the wine luncheon on a Monday afternoon. You start with a tour of the wine cellar, which is the third largest private collection in the world. Then we had an amuse bouche with a sparkling wine cocktail, followed by soup, main course (steak...and fish), cheese, and dessert. The food was very good and the service was even better. Well worth the time and money.More

We really loved the ambience of Greycliff. The food was also good, especially the lobster bisque. But there were a few detractors that they need to work on. Before we even opened the menu, for example, our server asked if we wanted to try the...house cocktail and we agreed. At the end of the night when the bill came, we saw that these cocktails were $36 EACH. That's way, way too much for a cocktail, especially a cocktail of the caliber served at Greycliff. The service also was lacking for a place of this price point. We waited about 25 minutes after asking for the check, for example, and then I wound up just going to find our server and hovering next to him until he got the bill. When you're paying nearly $400 for two cocktails, a glass of wine, two mains, an app and a desert, the service should really be close to impeccable. Overall, a lovely place but not worth the steep price.More

Incredible food and great service. We have been visiting this wonderful establishment since the late 80s/early 90s. The quality of the food has not changed, which was refreshing. The owner and staff were most accommodating and friendly. Following this wonderful dinner experience was a delightful...piano, trumpet and vocal presentation in the beautifully decorated lounge. A definite must do if in Nassau.More

We ate there for news years eve, which cost us $75 a person extra for their show (they didn’t inform us when we booked). They got my steak cooked wrong 3 times and finally just cancelled my meal. Server had no experience and took order...first from my daughter and then me (instead of my wife) and she never asked my wife how she would like her steak cooked! My wife did explain to her after she wants its medium well done, and when she got her steak it was medium rare! The service was lack lustre that night and both my steak and my wife steak were not cooked properly. Also took a long time for our drinks and food took forever and made us miss the New Year’s party we had tickets booked to see a performance ($1200). Too bad as this was our favorite restaurant. Other families who went the same night had similar negative experiences.More

Lovely afternoon tea in an interesting setting. The scones were excellent, the sandwiches varied and they did well to cater for a vegetarian . There was a good choice of teas and coffee was also available. The staff were friendly and looked after us attentively...while coping with a large bachelorette party at the same time. There is a vague air of faded charm which went well with the rather old-fashioned afternoon tea concept.More

So we were looking for a different experience. We ended up paying over $300 for 2 kids 2 adults with 2 glasses of wine. Kids pasta with butter $28. Cauliflower steak (boiled and drenched in mayo sauce), was $49. Fish dish $69 drenched in mayo...sauce. NY strip $80. Very overrated. Service was nice but because the cost of everything in Bahamas is expensive, felt guilty and felt obligated to pay. Idk how the Bahamians stay afloat on this island!More

A must-do when visiting Nassau. Agree that it is expensive but the atmosphere, service and dinner experience was worth it. They also have the most extensive wine menu that we have ever experienced.
