This is an absolute must do in Nassau. The get the full experience you must dress up a bit for dinner, it loses a bit of class and atmosphere when you don't make the effort. The service is very friendly and attentive, although went a bit awry at the end, but not too much as to spoil it. The food... More

Lovely colonial spot but very disappointing. We did not care for our champagne special of the evening so we sent them back. They never took them off the bill. Maybe that's how they do things in the Bahamas so no big deal. They brought the wrong entree to my husband so while they were getting his order straight, mine must... More

We had lunch at the Graycliff during the week. The staff was very attentive and paid attention to every detail. We had lunch on the porch and even toured the wine cellar whis is a must for every traveler

Really cool place with Highly overpriced food. 5 shrimp over noodles for $54.00. Our waiter must not have been having a good day, as he was not very helpful or very good. Everyone else was friendly. Nice experience but truly overpriced.

It pains me to write this review after loving this restaurant multiple times, but here goes.... We just had an outrageously expensive dinner, with the poorest service ever. We brought friends, their first time in Nassau, and my husband and I wanted to share Greycliff with them. They are foodies, and they are true oenophiles. Our friend buried his nose... More

Grayclif is an "Experience". Elegant, fabulous food and fabulous service - enjoyed by so many for so long - dignitaries as well as tourists. Dining at Graycliff is something you'll talk about for years to come. The grounds are lovely - pool is sparkling and authentic in its charm and history. A special place to go when you're in Nassau.... More

Service left a lot to be desired. The food was very tasty but the portions were small for the price you paid. The atmosphere and history of the place was very nice but did not make up for the price.

Were in Nassau on Business for a few days in early December, and with business done it was time to check out Graycliff's. Well the food was delicious, service was and the atmosphere great. Check out the 100+ page wine list there a few at $30,000+, so we sicked with one in the sub 100 range. The piano player adds... More

One of the best restaurants I've been to period! DO NOT MISS THIS EXPERIENCE! We were a party of four, arrived about 20 minutes early and had begun enjoying our drinks in the parlor with a live singer/piano player. As a previous review had stated, even though the parlor was not filled (nor was the restaurant fully filled even through... More

Description
Graycliff Restaurant's cuisine epitomizes elegance in the finest continental and Bahamian tradition with a menu that is both tasteful and distinctive. The secret recipes at Graycliff have set its reputation in the hallmark of the rich and famous. Creative culinary innovation has resulted in a variety of sumptuous dishes that is distinctly its own. Bahamian dishes have been creatively transformed into sophistication and refinement with the end result being an international reputation for Bahamian cuisine. Your evening at the restaurant begins as you sink into the depths of a sofa in the parlor with its sophisticated high ceilings and tranquil feeling. Within moments you will peruse the menu, while one of the bar waiters tends to your favorite cocktail. Having placed your dinner order, when your appetizers are ready, you are then escorted to your table to enjoy your meal. PLEASE NOTE WE HAVE A DRESS CODE: ELEGANT (GENTLEMEN MUST WEAR LONG PANTS). The restaurant has five air-conditioned dining rooms. Each room has a special allusion to the era when Graycliff was a private home from the Library to the Gallery, where the family would retire after dinner to play cards.Following dinner you are invited to once again relax and enjoy the rest of your evening with an after-dinner cognac or cigar and live grand piano music every night. Wines, Cognacs, Armagnacs and Ports Graycliff's Wine Cellar is world renowned and the wine list has won the prestigious Wine Spectator Grand Award since 1988. The wine cellar has an inventory of over 250,000 bottles from over 400 vintners in 15 countries. Ask the sommelier for a tour of the wine cellar. In addition to the considerable wine inventory, Graycliff also boasts one of the largest selections of Cognacs, Armagnac, Port and vintage malt whiskys. We have a cognateque with a great number of museum pieces bottles. The Graycliff main house was built in 1740 by a reformed pirate. The breathtaking hand painted pool is the first one in the Bahamas and the ruins of the oldest church can still be seen. Graycliff also has a cigar factory on property, a cigar roller at night shows his art in the parlor. During the day a visit to our Chocolatier is a must and you can also take a chocolate complete tour of the factory.
