Sought out this public house as our last experience was a good one about 5 years previous, We were welcomed and shown to our pre booked socially Distanced table , The owner / waitress took our drinks order and talked us through the specials for...the evening , I ordered the Celtic Steak blu with a blue cheese sauce , Cooked very well and sauce obviously fresh , my wife chose 2 starters as her main , Goats cheese tarts and a Haddock and cheddar cheese fish cake ! Very nice , The children chose scampi and homemade lasagna, All was enjoyed and reasonably priced , 4 meals 2 courses 4 drinks A glass of wine a Brandy and one coffee , Very well monitored establishment and service was excellent, definitely recommendMore

The TA has just reopened post Lockdown and we had a pre-ordered takeaway Sunday lunch. One beef, one vegetarian and both were very good with large portions & currently £5 back from AMEX with their shop local deal for August. We've always enjoyed eating here...and it's good to see them opening again although currently limited hours and takeaway onlyMore

Popped in mid-week for an evening meal. Very warm welcome, great food, especially for the vegetarians in the group. Will be back again soon.

We were back again for a further reunion in Cardiff in the evening and made this our lunchtime stop as in past years having lived in the area in the past. Pub again was quiet but had some customers who were eating. The food was...good wholesome hot and quick - nothing to complain about at all. we will be back in future years.More

What a disappointment! Always had Fabulous food here, but on this occasion did not meet our expectations, starters were average, main courses looked superb, but we're Luke warm, and the plates were cold. The side dishes were rationed, hardly enough to feed 4 our table...being 6. Two of our deserts arrived, and after waiting for the others, It was noticed that they were were behind the bar? When they eventually arrived my custard was cold. Feel sorry can only give this normally great pub/restaurant One star today, and sadly won't be in a rush to go back.More

Stayed here for a couple of nights and I have to say a great little find. The rooms are well decorated and accommodate all your needs. The food is great pub food with good choices and plenty of it. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks...to Sarah and her team.More

Had one of the best Sunday dinners I have ever had, large portions of tasty food with plenty of perfectly cooked meat. Kids meal was very good and with good friendly service you cant go wrong. Will be returning.

We tried the Tredegar Arms as a family based on the reviews, looking for a good Sunday lunch. Lovely friendly environment, staff were all chatty and nothing too much trouble. Whilst the Sunday lunches hit the mark (still not convinced about whole carrots and parsnips,...but well cooked), what really impressed was the range of vegetarian and vegan options. One of the few pubs we’ve been too that offers a vegetable roast, so big thumbs up if you’re looking for a wide range of options for non meat eaters. Good prices and options for two or three course. Wine was a little pricey, but that’s optional if you want itMore

Found ourselves with nothing to do and were in the area so decided we would nip in here for lunch. It was very quiet and following their Valentines night special the landlady wasn't quite ready for guests by the looks of things so it must...have been a good night! ;-) Food was good, will be backMore
