Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We came here with our friends for dinner Saturday night. Liz greeted us all with her daughter. She is so welcoming and before she went home ensured we were going to be well looked after. We sat in the bar for drinks before dinner, which...was perfect as usual. Two of us had burgers, two had pasta. Burgers were cooked to perfection. The boys also enjoyed their puddings. If we lived closer and not five hours away, we would definitely spend New Years Eve here; it sounds amazing with food and an Elvis singer. Thanks Liz again. We simply love coming here. XxMore

The Ferry is now our local and we eat there quite often. The staff are very welcoming, helpful and polite. There is an excellent choice on the evening menu, we particularly enjoy the Italian dishes and also the choice of fish. Sunday lunch is lovely...too. The estuary setting is stunning, especially in the daylight. There is a relaxed atmosphere and we can take our dogs into part of the dining area too.More

I have rated a 3 due to very friendly staff, very accommodating of our dog, nice atmosphere and lovely views. The food however was very disappointing. We opted for the Sunday lunch when we saw it brought to another table. It looked amazing. The reality...of it, the taste was not. Chewy beef, vegetables like bullets, under seasoned and bland gravy. Crispy kale seemed an odd choice for Sunday lunch but that maybe personal choice. When I pay £20 for a Sunday lunch expect a good standard! This was not. Let’s just say the dog was very happy with the amount of left over meat that she got. She was one very happy customer and I’m sure she’d love for us to return. We will not unfortunately.More

Dear Four-Legged Friend, I am so pleased you enjoyed your Sunday lunch. We would love to see you again, but unfortunately your two-legged owners won’t let you. Sadly… You can choose your friends, but you can’t choose your owner. I remain your humble servant, Andy...More

I love this place they are very dog friendly and treat my owners very well too. Nothing is too much trouble and they go out of their way to accommodate you. I’ve not tried the food myself but my owners were very satisfied with it...- maybe over satisfied as there was no doggy bag for me 😠 The water was lovely and fresh, not sure what the owners were drinking but judging by the amount they drank it must have been delicious as the drank a lot of it. The meal ended with a nice surprise we left the car behind and had a lovely walk home, although the owners must have been tired as they seemed a bit unsteady in their feet. Overall a lovely place and I hope the take me back soon !More

We had a fabulous Sunday roast here today. The staff were welcoming and friendly, the atmosphere was great and the food was exceptional. Huge portions, a good selection of vegetables and proper crackling - clean plates all round. Deserts were great too, although we really...didn't need them after the main course!More

We made this our 1st port of call on our holiday and so glad we did. The staff were really welcoming and seated ourselves and our dog into a lovely position in the restaurant overlooking the river. We never had to wait long before someone...attended our table to take drink and food orders. The food when it came, (and there was never too long a delay), was cooked to perfection. We tried another local pub with great reviews and although good never quite matched this one. We loved it so much we just had to keep going back. If there was one criticism and it really is picky, is hat the menu could be a bit more extensive or that a specials board might be introduced as it is easy to do the menu in a few days. I would thoroughly recommend going here you won't regret it especially for the view over the riverMore

We love this place: the food, the views, the beautiful setting and the fab staff. This is our second year visiting Cardigan and it is becoming a favourite. In fact a place we may move to within the next couple of years. How wonderful if...the Ferry Inn became our local one day. The food is delicious, freshly cooked and presented beautifully. We’re here for 4 days this time and eating here twice - says it all really.More

A lovely meal at this perfect waterside pub. The food was very good indeed, and service was perfect. A great place for a private birthday meal. Rachael, our waitress, made our evening perfect.

Unfortunately very disappointing. Sunday lunch was like a school dinner from the 80s. Over cooked pork swimming in gravy, over roasted carrots with crispy seaweed which is just odd.More

Dear Keri, Yes, I couldn’t agree more, I think you should ‘stay at home and cook.’ Although, I would avoid ‘seaweed’ if I were you. We use kale. Also, ‘oven roasted carrots’… where have you been? May I thank you in advance for not returning...More

We were recommended this place by several people and it didn't disappoint. Great location - we had a table on the outside deck which was also dog friendly. We had booked inside, but the staff were happy to find us a free table outside. Food...was great, service was really good, and the views over the estuary are fantastic. A lovely evening.More

What a warm welcome we received from Charlie on our arrival- a young man with an easy facility with clients. He learnt our names and used them throughout the evening- very impressive. The food is amazing - mainly fish- the portions are huge- too much...for me! We had a lovely table overlooking the Teifi estuary and we went back again the next evening as it was so special. We then met the lovely Liz the owner who chatted happily to us. This is a place that is so well run, all the staff are excellent and we can’t recommend it highly enough.
