Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a gem of a place. Quite apart from the beautiful location and views the food was totally delicious. Freshly prepared to order with home made coleslaw and couscous salad garnish. Fresh crab on brown granary and a prawn baguette served by attentive, friendly smiley...people. A joy to spend time and money there.More

The cafe was closed despite advertising it was open on its website and saying it opened at 11-00am on the door. We arrived at 12-00 and there was no one around. No idea how good the food is because they can’t even be bothered to...turn upMore

Stopped in at the tearoom while doing the circular walk around Lawrenny and we are so glad we did! Ordered a Welsh breakfast and my partner the eggs on sourdough toast. All of the produce was local and all so delicious. Lovely place to sit...and watch the world go by at the quay. Dog friendly too which was a bonus - lots of dog treats on the menu 🐾More

The smallest sandwich ever! The chef even came out with the Artisan bread to show me its “ local” they want to use local ingredients, yet have a Carte D’or ice cream van outside! A teaspoon of couscous salad and a very small garnish of...salad x 2 £20 ! Ooops plus 1 coffee. Couldn’t have tap water as it was discoloured?? Clear in the loos with the same water supply?! Cheese & leek tart up by £5 with the addition of a couple of potatoes !More

A big thank you to the lady serving in the cafe today , it was really busy and we came for lunch for my birthday , one member of staff told us they weren’t doing ice cream sundaes ( which is what we had come...for !) but the staff member ( who we think is the daughter of the owner) kindly sorted us out and made my day ! Thank you , great ice cream sundae and a lovely halloumi and avocado salad !More

We visited this little gem after a lovely long walk. We chose to sit in as the weather was hit and miss and what a charming little place it was and very attentive staff. There were three of us in our party we chose to...eat the ham and cheese panini, which was fully loaded, the steak, onion and mushroom baguette which was totally amazing, both of these were served with homemade coleslaw, beautiful side salad and cous cous, also the baguette was served with fresh new potatoes. The other member of our party ordered the ploughman’s which was huge and a great variety of cheese and the best chutney ever. We had to buy a jar of the chutney it was so good. The cakes looked outstanding and such huge pieces we had to have a slice of chocolate sponge to take home and may I say that was scrummy. This place is clean, excellent food and exceptional quality, great staff and great prices. Keep up the good work 5 stars needed for this little gem of a place.More

Lunch was excellent lovely fresh resourced foods which great choice of menu. Excellent customer service. Eat inside or out under large umbrellas. Dogs allowed inside. Surroundings very peaceful and relaxing looking over the estuary ample free parking. Such a find. There is a separate posh...caravan which sells ice creams and hot/cold drinks if you don't to enter the cafe. Prices reasonable, but the posh fancy ice creams from the van is a tad experience the cones are fine. An ideal place to go for good food, lovely surroundings to watch the boats and wildlife and if feeling energetic there is a fantastic NT walk along the estuary through the Oak woodland, via the boatyard. Just have to check the tide times before going as walk transfers onto the estuary down wooden steps.More
