Its a very nice location. We went on a Saturday evening. It was quite enough. We had a table booked in the restaurant, there was no one to greet you at the door so it was a bit confusing when you first walked into the pub. Service was ok, they didnt seem to be run off their feet but were... More

Deceptively large establishment. Obviously a very popular venue - very busy. Great atmosphere with traditional music. Very friendly staff and nice, plain food.

We recently paid a visit to Garrykennedy on the banks of the beautiful Lough Derg for a few days pike fishing with local guide Paul Bourke. He had organized our B&B with Larkins pub and restaurant, who provided us with a lovely house for our party of four a stones through from the pub. We arrived around 11pm due to... More

The lunch menu and options available is as you would expect from a pub/restaurant and saying that the food was excellent and could not be faulted. Larkins has received a lot of awards recently and they are well deserved and we will be back. The one negative I have was there no vegetarian option on the lunch menu otherwise it... More

We have so many great things to say about Larkins. I booked dinner for twelve friends on Saturday evening. The food and service was excellent. The steak is one of the nicest we've eaten. Our night continued with live music, which we all really enjoyed. We returned again for the traditional music on Sunday evening which is a must. The... More

The little village of Garrykennedy on the shores of Lough Derg is probably the nicest spot around the lake to stop for lunch. Larkings pub is a gem. Full of character and charm. This visit was at Christmas time so the roaring wood fire added seasonal atmosphere. The food as always was great. Much better than average pub grub. If... More

Took a little road trip during my recent sabbatical to rest in Killaloe and ended up in Garry Kennedy on the banks of the Shannon. Even as the darkness descended on the Harbour the charm and beauty of the surroundings were captivating. My gang all headed to Larkin's Bar and Restaurant for to grub up and I was very impressed...
