The worst chip's in Derbyshire hubby threw his away absolutely disgusted they tasted chewy and tasted off cooking oil which possibly needed changing

Terrible fish just awful, needed a saw to cut through it, it was brown thin and smelt bad. Tasted awful had one bite and took back . Immediately went to the other fish and chip shop in Ripley and what a difference. Time this place...shut down now it’s been consistently getting worseMore

This spot is always great and I always go because it’s 250 yards from my house and it has great service great food great value great table service and great takeout

Fish and chips takeaway is good. Serving staff are ignorant and ignore waiting customers completely. The older lady is 'World Class' at it and appears to be a mentor.... Appallingly bad TBH.

The staff are useless took half a hour to be served only ordered 2 fish and chips with peas then she had to ask me 4 times what I ordered then it was squeesed into the smallest of boxes that everything came out the sides...then when finally got home found out it must have been a kids size as very little chips what a waste for £13 sadly gone down hill big time won't be using againMore

Ordered 2 large cod and chips and was by far the best we have had. Excellent service, staff couldn't do enough to help. Lovely clean and tidy restaurant. Would certainly recommend this place to anyone to visit.

We hesitated about ordering fish & chips from here due to others’ experiences but as our normal place was shut (Ripley’s - superb), we gave it a go. What a mistake. The meal was awful, with cold, stale chips and the most greasy tasteless fish....Neither of us could eat it so in the bin it went, together with the £20 we paid for the privilege. The Seafish used to be a really great takeaway and restaurant but however much we fancy fish & chips on a Sunday, we won’t be returning.More

Ordered a fish and chips with a can of coke for £8! Portion size was very disappointing. Mini fish was below an average size but cooked well. Chips were stale and very few of them. And behold I am hungry an hour later I wouldn't...return.More

Awful chips, Stale. Looked like they’d been made hours ago! Rock hard and grey coloured. Worse chips I’ve ever eaten. Fish was ok, but ordered a large, it was more like a mini fish. Much better chip shops around, so won’t go here ever again!

Takeaway food used to be excellent- cooked to order, yes there was a bit of a wait but the fish was fresh and hot. Now it’s all pre-cooked. The fish was extremely dry and barely hot and the chips overly greasy. Online ordering is a...harrowing experience- the offer Apple Pay but it doesn’t work at all and it takes a alarming long time to acknowledge your order once you’ve provided card details. Feels like a half baked solution provided by a third party “ujustcook”. Opting out of marketing doesn’t stop “ujustcook” from selling your details, still received marketing emails.More

We've only ever had takeaways from here and not for a while, so when we wanted fish and chips, we decided to eat out. It was early afternoon when we arrived and it wasn't busy. There was one person on the desk and she was...serving someone. After she'd finished she went in to the kitchen leaving us standing wondering if we just sat down or waited - so we waited whilst she had a chat. When she came back I asked if we just found a table and the reply was "I'll get to you in a minute", whereupon she left us standing whilst she served two more customers who had by now come to pay bills. We were left standing like naughty schoolchildren. We very nearly walked out, but wanting to eat, we stayed put, and eventually were shown to a table. When the food came the fish was nicely cooked and the peas better than average, but it was flavourless. Together with two drinks it cost nearly £30 - definitely not worth it and it would have been cheaper to take away or even to have gone elsewhere.More

Absolutely awful service. Arrived and the lady behind the bar pointed at a table. The table had no menus and we were told they had ran out! Waited a further 20 mins and decided to leave after 2 other couples! Awful service
