Visited the Lord Nelson Christmas Eve for the first time in an age. First thing that I noticed was they now sell John Smiths bitter. The atmosphere was good and relaxed. Will go back and give it another go when not as busy.

Nice pub shame about the parking. If you are luck you can fine a space. Beer is good but expensive. A lot of friendly faces..

Visited this pub for lunch, first time since the new management took over. Although the food was acceptable and value for money, the choice was basic and disappointing. Drinks have increased in price AGAIN.

This is a bit of a locals pub, but we were welcomed and choose Youngs from a good selection of beers. The pub is tastefully decorated and should be included as pop in for a pint on a visit to Barnet.

I love this pub, its a stereotypical old Mans pub but the staff are friendly, the price is low and the food is a lot better quality than youd expect. plus check out the beer garden, its a little treasure!

An OK pub. Place always smells of fried food which puts me off. If you fancy a pint or to it is fine. Nice pint of Youngs though

If there was ever a perfect representation of a British residential pub, this is it. Dee runs a sharp ship - beer's excellent, food's available 'till there's none left!'. No loud music, friendly local atmosphere, quiz nights once a week. Excellent web site tells you...More

Could not be more comfortable and homely, with my favourite cider always available, a very matey feel to the whole place. Delighted with the live entertainment (McGoozer) a couple weeks ago, couldn't do better. But please, someone, for the love of all that is holy,...More

Always a good pint and great home cooked pub food - especially when they have bread pudding on! Fantastic value and in the summer the garden is very pleasant.
