I went for lunch with a family member, I had the posh fish sandwich, priced at £9.75! The chips were average, the fish batter tasted of not too clean oil. Certainly not worth just under £10.

Used to visit here regularly for breakfast when we had a boat on the Thames so know what it is good for. On this occasion we had a late breakfast / early lunch and despite it being a weekday in December we still had to wait for a table (that is not a complaint!). The food was cooked fresh to... More

I have only given it three stars as it is only a rather large cafe catering for boat people, walkers and casual visitors. Very good value basic food - I had a lovely meat pie - cleanly and quickly presented on wooden board tables. They call it a Cafe, Bar, Bistro, but we had a basic lunch and shandy so... More

The website said dogs welcome. We traveled 50 minutes to the cafe, but on entering the cafe was told we couldn't bring our small dog in. We would have to sit outside or in the veranda which was cold and we couldn't take our coats off. Their dog policy should be make clearer on their website.

Dear Customer We have added another note on our web site to mention that Dogs are welcome in our heated veranda or covered outside area ( heated as well). We are sorry the original information appeared not to be clear. More

I always wanted to visit this place and finally got the chance. What a let down. It was crowded noisy and not very welcoming. I was pleased to see a selection of gluten free items on the menu and ordered the vegetarian chilli which arrived quickly however it was far too spicy to eat. The first mouthful left me with... Dear Customer We are sorry the Chilli was too hot for you, our chilli is home made with quality mince from our local butcher and does contain various types of chilli and spices and each chef makes it slightly different. It is difficult to get it right for everyone's taste but we always have fresh yogurt for customers that like... More

Breakfasts here at the waterfront cafe are amazing. A first choice for me and my partner. The eggs royale and the granola with honey is a must try. The food for main meals however is a little microwaved, but still very enjoyable. Great setting even on a winter afternoon when the sun is out. Worth a visit

Recently visited for a works Christmas Dinner. Food was very good as was service. We were on a reasonably tight time scale but food came out quickly without compromising quality or dining experience

Decent hot and food here with efficient service. The place can get very busy on sunny weekends but there always seems to be space inside or outside on the terrace overlooking the river. It is possible to book a table.

We come here at least once a week as a family. A huge mistake was made on my bill- I paid £200 too much - barely an apology and no attempt to make amends.

A great place to stop off on a walk along the river. There's something for everyone. Food is a little pricey, but nice if you're on holiday or when you want to get away from things and have a little treat. Cake selection looks good, too.
