Stopped here twice over a weekend. The coffee and cake was very nice and was lovely sitting outside by the river. We went back for breakfast on the Sunday must say its a little bit pricey but very friendly staff and food was very good....This place seems to always be busy which is a good signMore

Husband and myself often come here at the weekend for lunch, have always had lovely food Decided to bring M IN L for a treat We noted that the staff are not up to their usual standard, hardly a smile and grunts at you when...asking a question, never clears the table unless you ask them too and kept giving people wrong orders Have been back since and I must admit it didn't seem so chaotic as last time and noticed new staff being shadowed. Yes a bit pricey but food lovely and location wonderful.More

Lunch was dreadful:- took 3 attempts to make a hot latte after bringing warm coffee to our table, the clueless staff then couldn't remember which was decaf! £13.95 for 2 fishcakes and limp salad was a rip-off, even had to pay £3.20 for a small...cold portion of chips. The queuing system for food was ridiculous, only one person taking orders. Your business will fold if you continue to rip off customers. Needless to say won't be returning.More

We booked the back room at the Waterfront for our boys christening this weekend. They put on a fantastic spread of food and set the tables up perfectly for a relaxed event for 30 people for us. We had lots of comments from our family...and friends about how good the food was. The service staff were very helpful and made the day a pleasure. Thank you! We will definitely use the Waterfront for an event again in the future.More

I’ve been here before and have always enjoyed sitting in or outside on the river Thames, having a coffee or tea, breakfast or not. Hannah and staff were friendly, service great and we enjoyed a hearty breakfast and coffee today. Will definitely come back.

Long time visitor here. Not entirely sure what happened to this once brilliant cafe but what an absolute rip off. £7.95 for a ham and cheese toastie that included one incredibly thin slice of ham and barely any cheese, burnt toast and some limp salad...leaves on the side that had seen better days. Pretty sure this used to come with crisps at least but no, we had to pay extra for chips. It seems the cafe has become so busy these days that food has fallen to the way side and no care or attention has been paid to it. During covid we could come for their takeaway breakfast and it was always brilliant and since then food standards have fallen so incredibly low. Despite the wonderful views in the sunshine we will not be back. I suggest to the managers to start focusing on your food again before you lose more long time customers.More

Long time visitor, food is always decent. Wide ranging menu, plus a range of specials. Staff range from young, keen and helpful to dull, disinterested and looking for the next opportunity. Car parking is always an issue, they now require you to register number plates...which secures you a time frame, sensible! One thing really grates. You have to pay every time you order, drinks, mains, desserts, if you want another drink, yet another receipt. There must be a better way, not everybody is going to do a runner without settling up.More

We often stop here when walking in the area. We usually just have a toasted sandwich and a drink but see lots of people eating fish and chips and full meals. They have lots of cakes. I think that the new owners are doing a...good job. The restaurant is very busy at any time you go there, especially in the summer. They have had to hit the ground running. We thought that the young people waiting on tables were very efficient and polite. When we were there they were clearing tables as they went about their work. We have found the food to be good and the service polite and friendly.More

Great food and portion sizes and a 20% discount if you're staying in a lodge. Good value for money. Amazing views of the river. Just watch them pesky wasps.

Second visit, & the place is just charming. Food is pretty good, coffee excellent. My only criticism, is when the servers bring out the food, they really should clear a table on their way back to the kitchen, not return empty handed. Too many tables stacked...up with crockery.!More

Used to be my fave cafe but it is awful now. We have been visiting the cafe for years and today I was stunned. The place is a total tip - every table was full of uncleared food and we had to clear a table...before sitting down. The rattan sofas are all broken and the cushions removed and /or filthy. The staff are unfriendly and clueless. There was a long queue to order food and drinks which did not seem to get any shorter. We decided to give up as the place has now been ruined and sadly despite its fab location, we won't be returning .More

Lovely sunny morning, both breakfasts were spot on with good and pleasant service. I must agree with another review there was quite a few used pts etc when we first arrived, otherwise it would have been a 5. Will definitely return

I enjoy coming here. Not just for the views but for the value for money good food. Was overcharged for the drinks (Aperol Spritz) £8.95 despite sign by ordering point advertising it for £7.50. Did get refund so no issue there but how many didn’t...realise. Food (goat’s cheese tart, fish and chips) yummy. Drink I am not sure if it was correctly made ie. missing the Prosecco. Water ‘jar’ for self-service water was broken. Toilet accessibility for wheelchair somewhat difficult. Door lip was high so difficult to navigate and the space between tables to get through to WC was too narrow. Most were empty inside so I pushed them aside but had to ask one table to move a little. Side door should be open perhaps. Other than that, great atmosphere.More

We have been coming to this place for years and looked forward to our visit. Admittedly, we came on a sunny day and it was busy. But our orders were relatively simple. All the unoccupied tables were literally covered in dirty plates, half-eaten food and...wasps hovering over the glasses. There seemed to be a lot of clueless young people wandering around. My friend and I chose a salmon and shrimp salad with a dill dressing. For £16.99, this consisted of some lettuce leaves taken from a bag, salmon straight from a packet and shrimps that were clearly from the deep freeze, as they had that ultra-pale colour. The dressing was nondescript. The ingredients probably cost 5 quid max and the time taken to prepare the salad was about 1 minute. So the price is daylight robbery. Ever heard of the cost of living crisis? We ordered some more drinks at some point. These came quickly, but the young guy left our table with all the dirty glasses on it! We then removed them ourselves to the table next to us that was groaning with dirty crockery. Frankly, it looked disgusting. I've just looked at the other recent reviews, which tallied with my impression. We won't be returning. What a shame. But cafés like these need to realise that location isn't everything. If the management cared, they should have long since replied to some of these negative reviews.More

Arrived for lunch was told it would be about 30 minutes before it was ready. Fair enough, but had to wait for one hour and twenty minutes. As I was very hungry it was far too long to wait. So it will be a long...time before I visit again. Not going to visit again. The food was fine. But when the owner before was there it ran much better, people where queuing for a place. By the way the car park has been changed not for the better but worse. You could get four or five more parking spaces for cars but now it's for motor bikes only one was parking. What a waste of space.More
