Popped in for a refreshing drink after a short evening cycle and found an amazing range of ciders. They also have several variations of beefburger, all at reasonable prices. Good pub for a quick drink with simple but quality food.

Decided to travel back home on the country roads and fell across this village pub. Served a great pint and typical pub grub. Landlord made us very welcome and the locals were quite entertaining. We will definitely call again.

Exceptional yet mellow Victorian-era pub in the former village of Polhill. Very effectively reno'd and updated without losing the building's character. Owner Paul is a friendly sort, very willing to talk about the state of the world and with the ideal publican's curious and outgoing...More

We came to the Polhill Arms for a drink and maybe some food. We arrived ordered a drink and then had to listen to customers shouting and swearing at the top of their voices and we were very surprised that the landlord/landlady/manager/manageress did nothing about...More

A reasonably varied menu with several home made specials made this a very good choice for lunch recently. The pub has been done up and looks much better for it. A decent selection of beers adding to the occasion, well worth a visit.

Welcoming and convivial host. Made to feel at ease. Not a beer drinker, but wines were fine, and last year the mini cider festival was excellent! Food was wholesome and always freshly prepared, and the small outside seating area is superb during the warmer months....More

We are very grateful to have this 'hidden gem' at walking distance. There is everything you would want a pub to be/have: beautiful refurbished inside area, friendly staff, delicious food and drinks, warm atmosphere. The only 'negative' point is the lack of space. We attended...More

Thank you for your positive review on our pub, we strive to offer something for everyone and we are only a small pub. Much smaller until two years ago when we refurbished the Polhill and removed 4 walls and relocated the bar, it was a...More

Actually, on my visits in June 2017, the food was both very good AND very swift.
