Great Sunday lunch, beautiful roast dinner. We all had different- beef, chicken and pork all delicious. Great cocktails also 10out of 10
Lovely staff and great food! Reminiscent of a simpler time in Burnham where folk would gather drink and be merry.
A night and day difference to how it was. Food and drink options are varied and reasonably priced. The interior looks beautiful too. And the atmostphere is warm and welcoming.
Went in for Sunday lunch, was quiet but made to feel welcome. Enjoyed garlic king prawns which were delicious, maybe some bread to mop up the delicious sauce would be a good addition? Then enjoyed the lamb and beef roast, the vegetables all cooked to...perfection. Hubby enjoyed the apple crumble and custard. Thoroughly enjoyed our experience and will definitely recommend and be returning.More
Second chance - nothing improved. Roast beef pretty reasonable, but roast potatoes (integral part of Sunday lunch!) sadly lacking - undercooked and minute portion. Yorkshire pud was supermarket frozen and badly cooked. Vegetables raw - we can cope with al dente, but these were raw....Next table also sent back. House wine out of stock. Condiments not presented on table, and when produced were empty. When comments were fed back, it was pointed out that they had only been open for five months. Well sorry guys, these issues should have been addressed way before now, and unless you pull your socks up pretty quickly, you're not going to be around for another five months in your current form.More
A bit like the Curates Egg - good in parts. The premises are well refurbished and look good. The Sunday roast was excellent, although out of chicken by 1pm was unforgiveable. Plus side - beef was excellent, and Chef came out to apologise that couldn't...be any rarer. Negatives - plates cold, lack of understanding by serving staff that we need horseradish with beef, and mint sauce with lamb. Roast potatoes form a huge part of Sunday lunch, not a side. Member of serving staff chewing gum constantly really not appealing. Will we be back? Possibly, to give benefit of doubts.More
Eaten in Red Lion twice since refurbishment. On both occasions the food has been very good. Chicken in cream sauce and steak was very tasty on our first visit. Sunday Lunch was our 2nd visit, and a bit more veg would have been nice, meat...was cooked nice. The only issue I have is the service, they clear plates whilst some of the party are still eating and asked if we want dessert while I was still eating my main course. They need to leave a bit of time between courses. Otherwise very nice👍More
Having moved to Burnham a few months ago I have been dying to see what the revitalised pub woukd be like ( woukd not have set foot in the pub as it was) . Decor is lovely, menu is set just right to provide a...choice for most people , and reasonably priced( Sunday lunch £14.00 .) Drinks reasonably priced too. Team were friendly . Looking forward to the back garden being finished , will definitely be coming back soon :)More
Just been to see Tony’s upgraded Red Lion in Burnham. Amazing things have been done with the decor, The food is fresh and tasty and the welcome is warm. The menu is appealing with something for all tastes including Sunday roasts. Can’t wait to bring...Friends back - Maybe for a night with live musicMore
I went there to play pool & catch up with some old players great night out & a good place to have a few beers
Terrible service all round, no Ale just caters for the Lager louts and Cider heads. Landlord and staff miserable, self- centered dolts. Ok for Jeremy Kyle types only. Place should be flattened for something more useful to the village.
Charming & decent atmosphere with one of the best outside seating area in the village!!! Sometimes it is just nice to watch the world passing by including all the high street traffic, while enjoying a fine pint of Ale!!!
This is a decent, clean enough place to gather if you are waiting for a wedding at the church over the road. It also has a fairly large car park and does food. Service is friendly and there's plenty of seating inside and outside.
As a Real Ale lover, I like this pub as it sells Bombardier a particularly good ale and also sells others and has good music.
