The food was excellent and the service wonderful. Went with friends for Christmas lunch and we all enjoyed it. Exceptional value for money and beautifully prepared food.

This restaurant has all that you could want for a meal out, whether it be with friends, family or work related. Great food, service and surrounding, cannot fault it!

This place was a great find - a brilliant Italian restaurant with fantastic hosts and a great menu. Food was exceptional - and the wine list very very good. Unexpectedly nice place/food - and quite busy for a midweek lunch. Highly recomended.
We visited for Christmas Day lunch which was excellent value for the quality of food. There was a lot of choice on the set menu so found deciding quite difficult. In the end we had scallops and my husband had a generous starter of crab...& salmon. Mains were beef medallions and my daughter had the vegetarian ravioli, all absolutely delicious. Berry brulee & a chocolate mouse completed a wonderful meal. The staff are always excellent and all work hard. We have eaten here before and the experience is consistently of the highest standard - we will be back as soon as possible.More
Always great food and service. Yes prices have increased but so has everywhere. This restaurant is an asset to the village but well supported from visitors elsewhere. The standard of food is excellent. Steaks great but pasta dishes also good. Well worth a visit to...support local initiatives.More
Our favourite restaurant. Great ambience, great host and excellent food. We had a college reunion lunch for six on 17/08/22 and we all loved it. Thank you Massimo.
I visited the location with my friends at the beginning of the month with mates. It was the first time visiting and I must say the staff were very enthusiastic and welcoming. I had the risotto marinara and it tasted fresh and one of the...best i’ve ever had. I’ll be sure to visit them again soon and definitely recommendMore
lunch for two inside. They were not busy. The server did not know, the soup of the day, if the meatballs were beef or pork, or the dish of the day. the bread served at the very start tasty but not soft or warm. My...friend had the chicken melanise which was overcooked and therefore dry served with a little spaghetti with a tomato sauce but not enough sauce so again dry and she couldn't finish it. I had the veal escalope with a wild mushroom sauce and wilted spinach. strange there was no potato, rice or pasta served with it so it was very rich but not very filling. we mentioned the dry meal but nothing was said or done. They add 12.5%service but wasn't worth it. Wont be back.More
Took two guests to dine there end May beginning June and the experience still haunts me. My guests each had the plaice which arrived like two half crusted fishfingers. Yuck. I was their host and could not complain to staff embarassing the event for my...guests and of course they would not. They just about got it down. I had the pasta for mains and the sauce was worse than seawater. We ordered from the Table D'Haute menu @ £28 each comprising of three courses. Soup and desert ok -ish. I had to ask for bread rolls to accompany the starters and what arrived looked and tasted like scraps. I have thrown better to the birds! My guests thanked me profusely for the lunch, compensating for the fact that it was awful and picking up on my disguised upset/embarassment. A few days later, my guests were also invited to lunch at another eaterie by other friends of theirs, one of whom I know and bumped into. I remarked that it had to be better than our La Cantina FC experience and she went silent, looked away and then said " You were very kind to them." I asked jokingly if either felt unwell afterwards and was informed they felt better after awhile. The bill in total came to £121 , including 2 small glasses of house wine, 1 bottle sparking and still water and 3 coffees - Americanos As I was with guests, did not ask for an itemised bill, but I do know that extras were snuck on. Cheap behaviour. Very upsetting. Wanted to give no star.More
We had a super lunch with great service at la Cantina del Vino on 14th July 2022. We were a large group of local Nordic walkers and we like to have our summer lunch there. This was our third year after a Covid interruption. The...management and staff are always flexible and able to cater for our different needs and payment preferences e.g. as pairs or singles... Food in every case was delicious and we look forward to visiting again as again next year.More
Poor quality food. Unfriendly service. Owner and staff unfriendly. If you don't order enough food or drinks, they make a face, thereafter service is downhill. Refused to pay service charge, it was removed but did not ask, why or took any interest. Think twice before...going to this restaurant. Plenty of better and affordable restaurants, who will value your business.More
As a group of 14 friends, we had a great lunch last week at ‘La Cantina’ after a long walk around Burnham Beeches. We were welcomed on arrival by Cosmin, who quickly got us settled with drinks and a canapé - just what was needed!...Then followed a delicious lunch of freshly prepared food and good wine, with attentive service from Cosmin and Massimo. Thoroughly enjoyed by all in our party. Thank you.More
