There have been some truly bizarre reviews of this place by other visitors recently which are completely unreflective of how good the food and experience is here, so I felt compelled to redress the balance. We have been meaning to go to the Pointer for...More

Michelin pub of the year 2018 The Pointer in Brill. Admittedly a little quiet today (England game) & thankfully no screens here. A lunch to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary. Beautiful garden where we were sat and the food was incredible. The beef dripping...More

Having previously visited The Pointer at Brill my wife and i decided to visit again for her birthday. We left feeling exceptionally disappointed and regretting not returning to our favourite local restaurant - The Nut Tree at Murcott. The service was good and polite. The...More

A group of 8 of us went on a Saturday night (first visit for many). In short I thought it wasn't worth the money as the service was lack-luster; done fairly well in terms of not leaning over or interrupting conversation etc, but without smiles...More

We stayed for one night and were not disappointed. There are 4 rooms that are across the road from the Pointer. Quality fittings and fixtures together with a well thought out en suite. Great powerful shower but also you can relax in a slipper bath...More

I cannot understand what all the hype is about this place. Having visited before and been disappointed, I thought we would give it another try. After all, we all have bad days, and after continually hearing and reading good things about The Pointer, maybe our...More

We have wanted to visit this place for sometime and finally got a reservation which worked for us. 9pm Friday evening. The service was underwhelming to say the least. Total lack of attention. The food was ok but the menu was not particularly well balanced....More

We had a delicious dinner! I particularly loved my starter of pears, beetroot and goats cheese curd.what a stunning combination! All the produce is organic and grown locally as well as the meat.

Not really. Fine if you eat outside, but feel too formal for toddler meals

Hi I would say smart informal, very relaxed atmosphere but the food is very good. I hope you enjoy it, we certainly did.

The Pointer is a country pub, restaurant farm and butchers that serves fantastic modern British Food. Situated at the centre of the village of Brill in Buckinghamshire, we are open Tuesday to Sunday, serving lunch and dinner from Tuesday through to Sunday afternoons. The butchers where you can buy our meat and charcuterie and produce from local artisan producers, is open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons and Saturday morning until 2pm. At the pub, we cook what's best on the day, using the seasonal produce we either grow ourselves in our kitchen garden or purchase from local artisan producers. Much of our meat comes from our own livestock herds and neighbouring farms, and if from further afield, from farmers who believe in excellent standards of animal husbandry. We’re easily accessible, have plenty of parking and beautiful gardens leading out to some lovely walks. You’ll find us by the village green, next to All Saints Church. Families and children are very welcome. In Spring 2017 we'll be adding four rooms for overnight stays too.
