Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We went here on the last night of our holiday and had a great time. You basically just choose the meat you want and how you want it cooking and they BBQ it and serve it to you on chopping board with some roast potatoes....I went for the fish option which was octopus on the night we went. It was nice but everyone else in our party went for steak and I did regret a little bit not going for that instead. The place has a lovely atmosphere and even though our French isn’t great, so there was a bit of a language barrier, the staff were friendly and accommodating. Definitely worth a visit if you’re staying nearby but make sure you’re hungry.More

We visited this beautiful, rustic restaurant twice while on holiday. The most fabulous food in such a relaxed and fun setting. The staff, particularly Monsieur. Bembe himself were just brilliant and so patient with my French. They even gave us coffees after our evening meal...with whipped cream on the top as we were so English asking for cafe au lair instead of espresso!! Gorgeous food , my son had the most beautiful cooked duck and the wine was delicious. We’ll be back, highly recommend.More

Convivial, delicious, simple, fun. We have visited Bembe in family. Great choice of local wines at unbeatable prices (you can purchase all wines for the menu price -10 euros if you want to bring a bottle at home). You feel welcomed. A lot of energy....Simple menu, limited choice but this is to focus on quality. Highly recommended especially if you want to grab the spirit of this part of France!More

Our family enjoyed a delicious dinner here during our vacation in France. This is a very popular local restaurant and although they were booked, our host Honor was able to call and get us squeezed in on their patio. Relaxed, casual atmosphere but you can...tell they are serious about serving good food. Would go back.More

Great rustic fun. Fantastic steaks ....but the wild boar was exceptional for the three of us that wanted a change from steak on the second visit. Menu changes almost daily but is displayed on board outside so easily checked as to what available on the...day. Superb local rose and red wines . Great service and value.More

We were staying with friends in the village and this was their choice for the second of two splendid meals in two excellent but very different restaurants. Six of us had a super evening of very good, freshly cooked on the grill, food and copious...well priced wine. The service was friendly, efficient and attentive and the ambience on the outside patio comfortable. The other table of diners consisted of a slightly larger number of restaurateurs visiting from Narbonne, presumably on their weekly night off, which confirms this being a good choice for an evening out locally. They certainly seemed very happy and in good spirits. I have described it as a seafood restaurant because I had the prawns grilled on the barbecue which were very nice but so was the meat eaten by others in our party. When visiting again we shall surely return but being sure to check it is open, which it is apparently not every evening, and not fully booked.More

Great little grillade style restaurant. Run by a very nice and friendly couple. The food is BBQ'd really well and the ambiance is great, typical of a good quality south of france village restaurant.

The menu and the sittings are limited so don’t expect just to turn up at any time. Basically a choice of steak, duck, prawns and maybe something else with chips and salad. Great alioli.

Myself and my partner both had steak which was cooked perfectly. The portions were enormous and we were full after the main meal. However we both had desserts which were equally as delicious. Would highly recommend and go back!

The steak is huge and delicious! It was very well cooked. I just with the restaurant stayed open a little longer so I could have kept drinking wine!

A very pleasant evening, in this family-run local tavern. A small choice of dishes, all tasty and local. A little gem in a charming region.
