Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

For my taste, the food is very fresh and good. Actually, I ate the best ceviche in the area because I was prepared with the catch of the day at the time and the vegetables were fresh. The Palace Marine salad with seared tuna steaks...is very good, I recommend it.More

It was really nice surprise for us to come to this place. We went to the restaurant because it’s close to our hotel which is One La Paz hotel. In fact, the restaurant gave us 10% discount for the hotel guests. The restaurant is simple,...comfortable clean place with very friendly staff who speak good english. The choice of food is not over the top so it’s not confusing. As La Pa is close to water, the fish I ordered was really good and well cooked as well. The restaurant also caters local guest so the food is quite tasty. When they say it’s spicy, it really is spicy. So great choice, highly recommended.More

Perfectly cooked fresh cuisine and large portions served by an attentive staff. I was pleasantly surprised with my huge filet mignon plate that came with two pieces of fresh perfectly cooked meat. I was also very happy with the bacon wrapped shrimp dish that came...with 7 large shrimp and a flavorful sauce over the top. It is not the cheapest restaurant in La Paz but if you are ok with a $700 bill the food quality and service is good.More

We were recommended by our hotel staff to try this resturant and were not dissapointed. We do not speek spanish but on waiter was able to help us make our decisions. We had the fresh fish. It was prepared exactly the way we choose. The...atmosphere was good and the place was clean. I would recommend that you seek out this resturant. It is not number one on Trip Advisor as there are not a lot of reviews but it gets our vote.More

We have tried different seafood restaurants in La Paz and this is by far our top choice. Yes, this place is much much better than the overrated Bismark. The chocolate clams here are much bigger and are served with fresh salsa. We sat next to...the oyster bar and these clams were alive and were still moving while we watched them being prepared. Our server Reuben was very helpful; he patiently translated the menu for us. Then we met Memo, who kept smiling even after opening 12 big chocolate clams and two giant Ostion Piedra for us. And above all, this is located in a quiet neighborhood - away from the tourist crowd.More

The service was good. The waiter was friendly and helpful despite the fact that neither of us spoke each other's languages very well. This restaurant is about seven blocks up the hill from the Malecón and near One Hotel where I was staying. I have...to give it a 3 because the food is the most important component in rating a restaurant, in my view. My fish came to the table totally uncooked in the middle. I suspect that it came out of a freezer and was not adequately thawed. To their credit, hey brought me another piece of fish, cooked this time.More

If you are looking for a nice air conditioned restaurant this is a must try. They are consistently good and the service is great. Ask for Larios to wait on you and you will be well taken care of.

We were looking for a place to watch football on a Sunday, and Palacio Marino was close to our hotel, and had "Sports Bar" on the outside. It was true, it had a tv, and they were happy to change the channel to the football...game, but it is not your average sports bar! Palacio Marino is an excellent restaurant, beautifully appointed, with amazing food. I had the Tuna Carpaccio, and my husband had the chicken cordon blu. The wine was excellent, the service professional. We were pleasantly surprised. I would highly recommend it!More

My husband and I loved our dinner at Restaurante Palacio Marino Valentine's Day. My husband had the pan fried red snapper and I had the combo enchilada and chil rellano dish. Both were very good. The service was very good as well. I like that...this is an upscale restaurant without overpriced dishes. We have recommended this restaurant to our friends.More

We went ot the Restaurant Palacio Marino for breakfast and were quite taken with how very nice it is. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. We had a very authentic eggs benedict, (real hollandaise) served with fruit and potatoe. The raw seafood bar was...so inviting, my husband ordered a campachana too...yes, for breakfast. It was one of the best he's had. I looked around and checked out the bar and found it fully stocked, even some exotic brands like Crown Royal. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Very clean and light interior. I didn't see the dinner menu but I'd certainly give it a try sometime.More

I have passed this restaurant several times during the day wanting to stop but never had the time. Needing to spend the night in La Paz gave my husband and I the opportunity to have dinner. We stayed at the 7 crowns and they arranged...transportation . It was not very busy which was ok with us, faster service. The menu was pretty extensive with steaks and seafood dishes. The meal was tasty, steak was cooked as ordered. The prices were high, 1,000 pesos for two of us. That said I am happy we tried it, but nothing really knocked me out to warrant a second visit.More

I spend about half the year here in La Paz and this was a new find for us though I understand they have been open almost 9 months now. It was recommended by a friend so my wife and I went there last night. What...a nice surprise! As unbelievable as it seems it can be difficult to find GOOD seafood here in La Paz. I don't think you will be disappointed here. It is an upscale restaurant complete with embroidered napkins but the prices are reasonable given the current dollar/peso exchange rates (15:1) and the meals are in the 200 to 500 peso range. I ordered the Shrimp Scampi that had 8 large shrimp bathed in a creamy garlic sauce that would have been really killer if served over pasta but instead came with a side of rice and vegetables. It was absolutely delicious but I couldn't help but think how good that sauce would have been with pasta. My wife ordered the coconut shrimp with a mango sauce that was fantastic and much more than she could eat. The menu is not just seafood and they offer many steaks (Ribeye, New York and Filets), Chicken and combinations. I highly recommend this restaurant. It is away from the tourist area but very easy to find even with the one-way streets, From the malecon head south on Allende (from the dolphin and mermaid) about 7 blks. to Farias, turn left to Nicololas Bravo and it is right on the corner with ample parking in front.More
