La Vaquita is one of my regular favorite places to eat in San Felipe. Their fish entrees are all gorgeously prepared and not only wonderful to look at but wonderful to eat! They have also opened up another La Vaquita in the Playa del Oro community, which is North of the town of San Felipe by about 8 miles. It... More

We had excellent service! The food is pretty darn good, too. It's more upscale than some other restaurants on the Malecon. The only thing I didn't like was the main dining area that has the most atmosphere was unbearably hot, and the small room with AC was freezing and the lights were too bright.

The housekeeper from the house we rented in LA hacienda recommended this restaurant. We were not disappointed at all. There was a small air conditioned dining room that we were greatful for on the 113 degree day we were visiting. We had the seafood stuffed peppers, the shrimp kiki, 3 other types of shrimp and the volcano. With 2 rounds... More

With all the great fresh seafood in San Felipe, the last place to eat might me The Vaquita. Having been a local jn San Felipe for many years, I can tell you from personal expereince, the owner is so rude he actually insults his customers on the street or at a local juice bar or on the beach. Over priced... More

Good food most times & service is good but slow. Do not go real often, is too loud when they have music.

Terrible service. I came here for dinner, it took them 30 min to get our drinks and they forgot our appetizer and charged us for it. We ordered another drink and it never came either. Food was bland when it did come out 45 min later. I say skip it and go down the street for real fresh seafood and... More

We frequent La Vaquita whenever we visit San Felipe. It has become our favorite restaurant because of the food presentation, food quality and moderate cost. One of my favorite dishes is the coconut shrimp which is served with a salad, rice and vegetables. My husband enjoys the garlic shrimp (which may not be on the menu so just ask). The... More

The restaurant came highly recommended by local friends. We ordered 5 "whole baked fish dishes"and a filet and they were so over cooked it was hard to eat it.When we complained to the owner he gave my friend with the over cooked filet a free desert but offered nothing to make up for the ruined fish dinners. The restaurant was empty when... We were looking for a restaurant where the chef was professional and the food was international quality. We were not disappointed at La Vaquita and we returned for a second dinner during our brief stay in San Felipe.
