We know Sanborns since the 1970s and were always fond of the establishment in various cities around Mexico. This time the traditional, staid and simple tortilla soup was terrible...no taste, watery, slow in coming. When complaining we got no satisfactory answer but at least did not have to pay for the "dish". The place is obviously badly managed and getting... More

Sanborn's is a department store that has a restaurant. We used to eat at Saborn's when we were last in Merida MX, again Sanborns in Juarez lived up to expectations.

Sanborn´s is the standard for a medium range Mexican menu restaurant. They have all the basic and popular options in their menu. Either for breakfast, with the Chilaquiles, lunch, a Tortilla Soup or dinner with Enchiladas Suizas; you will find good options and the traditional Mexican spice and flavor. In the morning their coffee is good and the bread offerings... More

An excellent choice of assorted mexican delicacy I recommend the Enchiladas suizas and Flautas de pollo. Limonada mineral to drink. Great service and exprience.

Meh, it's adjacent to iStay so I imagine that it's part of the iStay chain. The food is expensive, the service is meh and the quality is a double meh. There are no refills and each drink costs about 2 dollars. Of course, they don't tell you that when you order. When you have 2 children that drink soda and... More

I have so many fond memories of Sanborn's in Mexico City from 30 years ago when I traveled there for business. And visiting Sanborn's across the street from my hotel, Lucerne, was a real trip down memory lane. The wait staff still wears the same outfits they did many years ago. The coffee is amazing.....yum. The service was not so... More

One of mexico's chain restaurants (like denny's) but sometimes attached to a general goods store, don't particularly care to much about it but it's usually reliable, this time the service was bad,the food even worse. The coffee was not hot, when the food was served it didn't match the description on the menu, they used american processed cheese where it... More
