If you are spending the day in Nogales, La Roca is an interesting spot to visit. We had lunch and drinks. The atmosphere is beautiful and stands out in a border town. Complimentary fresh salsa, chips and guacamole are served which are all great, as are the margaritas. The service is average, our entres were not very good. Both had... More

My wife and I along with one other couple visited Nogales, Sonora, and, as a result of recommendations from the local merchants, had a late lunch at La Roca. It is a beautiful restaurant that appears to have been carved out of a huge rock. The restaurant is very attractive both inside and out, and our server was knowledgeable and... More

Our southern border cities are all very much alike and if transported there under blindfold, you would be hard pressed to identify the exact city you were in. The wares for sale in the many street booths/stands and stores are almost identical but each city has a multitude of photographic opportunities and food experiences to explore. Nogales fits that model... More

What a great place. You might not find it if you don't know where to go. This is my second time here and it was great. Sunday's is buffet day and everything was great. The service was outstanding. We went this time for dinner and they we very attentive to our needs. Every thing we tried was great

We visited la Roca twice and were pleasantly delighted both times. Exquisite food! The margaritas are as astounding as the food. Don't miss a trip to the restrooms to see the lovely sinks and painted tile. Friends are traveling to Tucson this weekend and plan a trip to Nogales. Surely wish I could stowaway in their baggage.

It took a few people helping us to find the restaurant as it is not on the main drag, but the food was good. We went late on a Saturday and they had a breakfast buffet still set up. There were a number of dishes to choose from and it was $12 so many of us had that. Others in... More

I went to Nogales from Tucson with a friend for some shopping and had Lunch at La Roca. Bought some beautiful glasses in the gift shop, lots of treasures there. The restaurant has so many great dishes. The margarita's are fresh made, smaller than the ones people are used to, but this is quality not quantity. Over all this place... More

Great ambiance, beautiful building, great service, and excellent food. The only thing that takes away from it is the location. Even though is close to the border, it is not exactly in a great place.

This restaurant was a pleasant surprise. We parked in Nogales, Arizona, and walked across the border for good food, excellent service, and a unique architecture and interior. There were nine in our party and no one had any complaints. I had the bacon wrapped shrimp; it was delicious, but what's not to like about any dish with bacon. Make sure... More
