Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had high hopes for spending a few hours on the beach at Don Camaron. On arrival, we were immediately offered a beach table and chairs which are extra and ordered a bottle of water. After about an hour, we decided to move into the...restaurant proper for lunch. We were seated and then ignored for 20 minutes before we decided to leave. If they had been crowded it would be different. But it was in the middle of the week and we were one of only two tables with customers. Staff was too busy looking at their phones and never even bothered to bring us a menu or offer drinks. It's a shame as it was a taxi ride and wasted time on our part. We had been intrigued by the great reviews and were hoping for a wonderful lunch.More

Honestly, everyone from the staff was so nice and helpful, most ( if not all the staff) may not know english but still try their best to help. This place may not be the fanciest but but taking in consideration the area and costumers that...the restaurant has it cater perfectly to it. Also love the food. The price was great and they serve an array of foods(even for people who don’t like seafood) which had a great taste ,but you do have to order the food in advanced and maybe set a time when you want the food to be brought to your table so you don’t have to wait a long time for it. My waiter that day was Toño, and i honestly can’t stop saying how great he was. He was really nice, explained to us how ordering the food there worked and cleared any concern/question that we had with the food, and even when the orden got a bit meat up he did everything in his power to get it right. P.S. You do have to pay $100 mxn for a table IF you wanna sit at the shore, but the table does include a couple of chairs and an umbrella which you can use for as long as you want, you have no time limit. If you rather not pay the $100 mxn you can sit inside the restaurant ,which is still fine but the only difference will be that you won’t be so close to the water or ,depending if there’s a lot of people that day, you won’t really see the ocean.More

This is a beach restaurant that caters to the local beach goers - Staff was friendly and tried to help however in general Mexican food is bland and this restaurant overcooked the fish that they are noted for - no one spoke English but that's...not there fault since it caters to the locals and the American tourist are few and far between - unless you are a used to this environment go to Carlos and Charlies at the mall instead -More

What a surprise !! We hiked from Vidanta ( could have cut the trek 3+ kms shorter if we would have taken their wooden bridge trail across the swamp and GPS ). A beautiful little seaside restaurant and cantina where the locals gather ...excellent seafood...along with delicious sangrias . Staff was very pleasant , very family run !! The owner helped us with our selections . Will definitely visit again and ‘advertise’ this hidden gem !!!!More

The food here is wonderful and the staff was allways friendly. The restaurant is clean, beautifully decorated, and the view of the ocean is excellent. My boyfriend and I are vegans, and the staff was helpful in finding dishes that were accommodating for our diet....Over several meals, we had sopes without cheese, guacamole, salad, plantains, potatoes, beans, rice, tortillas, and paletas for dessert. I recommend the lemonade frappé made with mineral water!More

Playa Majahua is a lovely calm beach and the best food on the beach comes from Don Camarón. Our waiter Kevin had the table and chairs set up on the waterline in a jiffy and kept us stocked with beer and seafood for 6 hours....The bill was very reasonable.
