FIve of us ordered five different things here. All very delicious. Nice décor. Liked the typical Mexican floor plan.

The restaurant is located in front of the market. We tried Oaxaca platter, which is for two people, but had enough food that four of us ate with food left over. The chile relleno was too spicy for our palates, but everything else was very good.

The ambience and building is lovely. Our server was very nice and did not pressure us into coming into the restaurant. The food was good but not amazing. It could be because we have never tasted black mole before and we aren't used to the taste. The server forgot to bring my white wine and it was on our bill.... More

We sought out El Sabot based on TA rating. Very inviting from the street and looked nice to the eye! Chips and salsas were very good with the verde and red salsa but spicy and tasty. The caldilla de nopal was good with nice bits of nopal cactus and quesilla swimming in a flavourful broth. The filet mignon and the... More

This place has built a good name and prestige. It's a Mexican clean restaurant with good Mexican ingredients. It is not a fine place, but if you want to try a very good Mexican/Oaxacan restaurant at Huatulco THIS IS THE ONE.

El Sabor de Oaxaca is near the zocalo in Crucecita, so it's in a convenient location to go eat and then browse the shops nearby and see the murals in the church on the other side of the square. We enjoyed the chips and salsa they brought out. One sauce had a dark red color, one a pale green; both... More

We've been seated without service for 15 minutes and we were alone at the opening at 8 a.m. We asked for service and someone said that all the personnel were still cooking at the kitchen. We asked for a coffee. The guy said that we have to wait.

We went to eat the Sunday buffet. It includes scrambled eggs with beef and mushrooms, beans, tostadas, pancakes, fruits (melon, watermelon, papaya), a chicken in sauce, and some chorizo mix. To drink there was orange juice and melon juice. If requested, they could make you quesadillas or topes. The buffet was underwhelming to myself and the group I was with.... More
