Grab a table on the walk way and enjoy the view of the Old Mazatlan coast. Great food, great for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I had the shrimp and octopus coctel, which was fantastic. comes as a basic cocktail and served with condiments like avocado, onion, cucumber, hot sauce, and crackers or tostadas(chips). Which is great because you can make... More

We've had several great breakfasts here, my favorite is huevos divorceado with a delicious cilantro sauce instead of just salsa verde. Dinners were just average, but service was pretty good. One night my husband's chile relleno stuffed with shrimp was excellent, but the next time he tried it there was more cheese and less shrimp, to his disappointment.

After taking a walk down the Malecon we ended up at La Fonda. This restaurant is directly across from the ocean, so the location is awesome. There are many locals and expats that hang out at this restaurant and it was very busy on the day that we were there. My husband did not care for his breaded shrimp, but... More

We found this place after a long day of exploring on foot. What a sweet find! Excellent food, FINALLY a Negra Modelo (on the menu regularly elsewhere but never in stock), gorgeous ocean view and fun people watching. It was slow enough while we were there that we had a great time feeding our crumbs to the birds, too. Very... More

Nice restaurant on the corner/main drag of Mazatlan! My wife had shrimp and potatoes and I had fried snapper! Yummy! Very authentic!

Just had trio of tacos, marlin and shrimp was excellent! Pulled pork was average to me. Lots of locals eating here. Fabulous view of Iceland malecon. Your literally 8' from the highway.

Had dinner here, food was great but service was very slow, even for Mexican standard. Started a little unpleasant - every table had a dirty table cloth, so finally when waiter came we asked for a clean tablecloth. The one he brought was also dirty! Finally got a clean one. Then took forever to get a beer, then another eternity... More

Right across from the boardwalk with live music, shrimp tacos and chicken tostadas. Friendly and helpful staff. Food was all a bit mild - but we asked for hot sauce and were given an assortment to try. Excellent location to watch the parade of people in the evenings traveling back and forth along the "main drag".

Chalio's is the heart and soul of nightlife on the Olas Altas. That said, it's also where you'll see local attorneys and other types of professionals meeting over breakfast or lunch. You'll notice many a friendly nod and wave. Chalio's is the "Cheers" of Las Olas Altas. Sit for a while, and you'll quickly discover who Chalio is, as he... More

Mexican food, well done in all its varieties. Breakfast eggs, lunch soups, and other Mexican food is tasty and served by quality staff. The view of the ocean is lovely and of the river of people going by is and entertaining.

The food is great and real Mexican however burgers are available as well. The service is good and you are right across the street from the beach. You can eat and drink while watching incoming ships and the trafic as well. You can get there by bus or by taxi or our famous red taxi trucks. I eat there about twice a week more or less and the owner is a good friend of mine. He saved his money as a waiter so he could buy this restaurant. Maybe I'll see you there some day even tho it is downtown don't let that stop you. Happy trails and a great vacation.Randi
