This is a romantic spot that provides elegance and fine food and drink in a central location. I found the chairs uncomfortable (although attractive). The service was excellent, it was nice to have been able to reserve on Open Table, and we were accommodated without question when we asked to move to a less drafty location (it IS outside--beautifully designed).... Dinner here was very good, and the restaurant has a good selection of mezcal and other drinks. Beautiful outdoor courtyard dining area.

Managed to squeeze in a lunch here and so glad we did. My boyfriend had been disheartened by some of the restaurant experiences in Oaxaca but this really was excellent and we both ate relishing every bite. I had the watermelon salad and pulpo and my boyfriend had the rib-eye. The food was imaginative, beautifully presented and tasty. Loved being... More

Spectacular setting in a modern outdoor courtyard. Beautifully made fresh food all local and Mexican. Shrimp were lovely and salsas and moles unlike any other I have had before. After a really long travel day getting to Oaxaca this restaurant was worth it.

Went for an early dinner / late lunch. At 3:30 the restaurant was half full but by the time we left at 5 it had filled up. The watermelon salad was great, the squash soup was great after I put in a little salsa and the fish of the day was excellent. The service was also wonderful – our waiter... More

This was our most expensive meal in Mexico but the food, service and mescal were worth it. We enquired about the mescal and the waiter brought over 5 different varieties for us to try which was really appreciated given our limited knowledge! Cocktails were also really good. The soup was tasty and the pulpo starter was cooked to perfection with... More

This is an interesting restaurant. It is in a big open air courtyard inside a small group of shops. Modern decor. Food was so so. They tried to be modern. I found it a bit lacking. Our server also was trying hard. He kind of still missed the mark. We asked for a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. They didn't have... More

Since there were mixed reviews on this I just went to try their mezcal cocktails. They were not as great as I was expecting but they were good - I tried two different ones. Actually enjoyed my tamarind mezcal cocktail at Cathedral Restaurant more. Also had raw tuna appetizer that was very good. Went early around 5:00pm and it was... More

We loved the interior design, very romantic atmosphere. We've made the reservation in advance and it's practically impossible to get in without reservation. Great choice of mezcal but the meal is rather common, not what we expected after reading reviews. Service quick and efficient.

There are no reservations, so being a big group is difficult to go without a reservation, so we personally went to make a reservation and they said no... that we had to be there and wait... so we did.... and then they said they couldn't give us a table.... not at that time (lunch), or later even if we waited......
